  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwJxqNdpA_4 Coldplayer does an excellent job.
  3. Oh how absurd of me to think. *puts on tin foil hat* Aliens, I tell you! Aliens!
  4. It's a reference to the countdown before liftoff.
  5. A good friend of mine has a folk band, and their songs are amazing. Here's one: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=3351751234620 And here's a decent recording of one of my bands demos: http://www.reverbnation.com/pointzero2011/song/13723378?utm_campaign=opengraph&utm_content=song&utm_medium=link&utm_source=facebook
  6. After many tries, I can't get it right. The sound is a bit difficult to replicate.
  7. I think I'll attempt it later tonight. Wish me luck!
  8. Figured I might as well. Standard tuning and effect specs are all I really need.
  9. Okay, I was kinda confident that's what it was. I'll just layer tons of reverb and phaser over high distortion. Does anyone have any ideas for the ending? I'm confused. :/
  10. I'm curious as to what he actually plays, and if it's in a different tuning. I imagine the bridge sections would be relatively simple (ie when Will is pummeling the drums) but the tricky part would be the ending solo stuff. And if you know what kind of effect he's using, I'd love you forever. :)
  11. Yeah, that's how they sound in the studio version :P But live, they duplicate the energy and sound way better than this video describes.
  12. Yeah I could tell there's definitely a different regional accent. But I heard some actual live recordings and he sounds way more authentic. Pretty crazy! They've been to like India, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden.. lots of places. Oh and they played a show at the freakin' Pyramids in Egypt!
  13. http://vimeo.com/45305279 Not sure where to put this, but oh my they do look very similar. (They being "Chris" of course.. Guy, Will, Jon.. not so much.) The guy does sound a bit like Chris though, and I've seen more live videos and they duplicate the songs extremely well. Hell, I could mistake this guy for Chris in some parts of the video! Definitely seems like a fun thing to do if Coldplay isn't in town that is. :)
