  1. It's pretty sloppy, but tell me what you think. Took 2 days. Acrylic, spray paint and chalk was used in the process.
  2. Parachutes - Life is for Living A Rush of Blood to the Head - Amsterdam X & Y - The Hardest Part Viva la Vida - Death and All His Friends Mylo Xyloto - Don't Let It Break Your Heart
  3. You think so? :) I really wanna attempt this again, but with spray paint. I think I can really nail it. It almost seems like this painting catches the more depressing side of MX.
  4. Sorry that picture link was bad. Should be fixed now :P
  5. So I don't know where the right place to post this sort of stuff is, but you can never go wrong here! Unless I'm wrong. Anyways, tell me what you think. I painted it today with acrylic; took about 6 hours total. The canvas is 4ft x 2ft.
  6. Thanks for the replies everyone :)
  7. Yeah I understand. Maybe if we record a full version with drums and lead and bass it'll sound more "special" ;)
  8. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnkwBFcp7SM]Incompatible - Point Zero - YouTube[/ame] Tell me what you think. Here's the lyrics if you're interested: The walls are closing in and there is nowhere left for me to hide No matter where you go you can't escape what's on the other side And as the waters flow your branches grow but in the wrong direction So incompatible you can't seem to establish a connection We've gone so far astray Why can't we find the way? Are you really listening, or do you even care? Can you hear the whispering of the spirits in the air? Can I tell you what I'm thinking when I feel you near? I just want you by my side for our remaining years Let's take flight Leave time behind Let's go to the astral plane, I want to see your face Baby we could go insane and lock our hearts in space We're getting older now Our world is upside down Time is coming to an end and I have yet to start Come and show me how to mend the pieces of my heart Take me to a distant shore that only we can find Lead me through that open door where I can free my mind Take me home I'm so alone Why must it be this way?
  9. If you read this thread backwards, it's about a bunch of schizophrenic internet users who cover a wide variety of random topics and slowly settle on some new Coldplay album that will never leak.
  10. The lead guitar was awkwardly improvised :P This was a live recording so, we just took it and put it up. And yes, it does have a nice feel to it. And a more professional demo? We would like that.
  11. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ki-YrhK-PSY]Bittersweet Demo (Original Song by Point Zero) - YouTube[/ame] Recorded with a rockband mic. Tell me what you think. Me and my bandmate Tim.
  12. Thanks :) Some people think it's a little tacky, but it definitely adds character.
  13. Yeah this guitar sat in my room for 2 years because the wires were fried so instead of buying a new one, I just decided to fix it up! But put up pictures whenever you do yours!
  14. Yeah the ETIAW video did influence me a little! I think you can tell :P but yeah I just wanted to make a unique looking guitar and I think it came out nicely.
  15. Well I did put on about 7 coats of clear coat, but I think I will lacquer it. Thanks!
  16. Well the process was sanding the guitar down with a very fine grain of sandpaper (1200) until it was very smooth and dull. Then I used some Testors Flat White spray paint and put on about 4 coats of it onto the body of the guitar (I took apart everything, so I'll have to rewire it whenever I have time). I used masking tape on the pick guard to cover up the pickups and bridge so I wouldn't have to hassle with taking it apart and putting it together, and did the tremolo cover separate. I put about 2 coats on the cover and pick guard and it came out nice. I then let it dry overnight. The next day I poured 7 different cups with acrylic paint, and then just dipped my hand into one and splattered it everywhere. It had a very nice Jackson Pollock look, but a bit more unique and sporadic. Then I just did the same on the other side. I put on about 7 coats of clear coat (also Testors) and it came out very smooth and even. But the paint is sticking VERY well to it, probably because I didn't clear coat the white before I splattered. I DID spray paint the headstock myself, because it was pretty boring haha. But I have yet to play it, because I need to take it in and have it rewired. But all in all, it was a quick and cheap way to make it look very cool!
  17. Tell me if you like it. It's an Ibanez GRX40. And if you have any questions about how I did it, feel free to ask. What it originally looked like. Front view. Back view.
  18. PS, I messed up on the intro but couldn't fix it because of some backing track problems, so ignore that! haha.
  19. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyL5in5LX6Q&feature=channel_video_title]‪In My Place Cover‬‏ - YouTube[/ame] Recorded with a USB Logtiech Headset that was like $40 haha.. and made in Mixcraft 5.0, and the video was made in Windows Movie Maker. Tell me what you think! Oh, and the bridge was kinda made up... haha.
