August was a very exciting month for Coldplayers all over the world. It was peppered with festival dates, LP5 news and glorious, glorious redemption: Confirmation of Mylo Xyloto’s existence! The experience was nerving and tumultuous for avid Coldplay fans. NEWS Coldplay rumors were running rampant! The buildup for the as-yet-untitled LP5 was astounding. The most pressing question was: What will the new album be called? Here are a few examples of failed rumors, both ridiculous and fairly good guesses. Essentially, all we were given was a quote provided by Chris in a January interview: It most likely "Starts with an M. Two words." Some lovely ideas: 1. Mnemonics and Murals (from a YouTube comment that was deleted) 2. Mutagenic Xylobrytes (Thanks to the now-banned Coldplayer1317. He was great.) 3. Major Minus But finally, on August 12, we got redemption, with this image, early in the morning. Thanks to EMI Central America for tipping us, ( Coldplayers were of course up to receive the following image on the official Coldplay site: ...and an era was born. The title is quite possibly the most debated piece of Coldplay history to date. Here are a few (over)reactions of lovely Coldplayers: So, it was well-received and panned alike. Then: Will, Jonny, Chris, and Guy took a much-needed two-week break from their awesomeness. Thanks everyone! Yeah, I took one of those. It's not that I don't know what I'm interested in, it's just that I don't know how to find the right balance between family and future employment, plus my interests. It doesn't really factor in the economy and personal issues, though. So, I wish it were that easy! :unsure: As for the textbook thing, I have a little experience in that department because I edited a few journals, and my professor that I'm very close with has been working on a molecular biology textbook, and I've been doing a little background on that, plus editing it. So I guess I have my foot in the door. I've never really seriously considered that. Maybe there's another path I can take to get into the industry that's not-so vanilla.
