  1. I think he has a chord in there somewhere...maybe... AutoTune sucks x100 Oh well...the rest of the album that I've heard isn't too terrible...I'm pretty excited for the studio version of UATW. The Q Magazine review made it sound amazing.
  2. First in Riverside County, California. Everybody listens to country and R&B out here...oh wait :P
  3. Honestly I'm more dissapointed with this than anything so far...it sounds more like Chris Martin on a Rhianna song than Rhianna on a Coldplay song :/
  4. I saw this thread up again and it got my hopes up...until they died when I looked...
  5. Screw twilight, but if we get a new song I'm happy :D Twilight frikin sucks tho.
  6. The only thing about that that throws me is that CK is the symbol for Us Against the World which makes no mention of the phrase...so if that had happened why wouldn't that make the CK the symbol for the song it had turned into? And wasn't LRLRL supposed to be the title track of Viva and the song itself got scrapped? Not trying to be a theory killer...just giving some food for thought.
  7. Thanks alot for the review. You're a great writer :D
  8. I will listen to the leak for sure, but I'll buy it too. Hopefully the pop-up version. I want it soooo badly :D
  9. CB UATW Paradise HLH MTM MM ETIAW I love em all by the way. I can't wait for the album.
  10. There are so many songs that have just as few lyrics Paradise. Such a Rush Bigger Stronger See You Soon We Never Change In My Place...and those are only the ones I can think of off the top of my head. And as far as repetitive lyrics, Clocks, A Whisper, Everything's Not Lost, and Fix You were already mentioned...also Daylight, Bigger Stronger, Warning Sign, Careful Where You Stand...the point is, as much as everyone wants to think the music has changed so much since the early days, the new songs are very much the same band, just with a poppy beat and more synths, and that's only on a few of them. Music is entirely a matter of taste, and one of the few areas where you can be almost entirely subjective, so I don't see what the point is of all this arguing and bashing that's been going on here. I really like the new Coldplay, and October 24th needs to hurry up and get here already! :D
  11. Cuz I'm making all the coldplay art a slide show for my desktop background and I'm having trouble finding them online.
  12. So does anyone have a picture of the mural that shows up on the site before you go to the main site without Paradise and the pre-order stuff obscuring the view? It has a LOT of stuff to decipher...so yeah. Hopefully somebody's way ahead of me with this stuff as usual :P
  13. I'm not a long time Coldplay fan like a lot of people here, and I'm still a teenager so that might be part of it too. I discovered Coldplay my freshman year when it came out and it was at that point that I was just getting into music in general. I started listening to more and more of it along with other bands, and after a few month's obsession with Muse, I was a massive Coldplay fan in anticipation of MX. I still am. I love their old stuff starting with the Safety EP. Little known songs like See You Soon, I Ran Away, Gravity, and Help is Round the Corner, and ones from their LPs like Warning Sign, We Never Change, Parachutes, Spies, Sparks...I could go on and one...they're all amazing. The Viva era songs were amazing as well but in a different way, but they were still beautiful. Death and All His Friends is one of the most emotional songs they have. Prospekt's March is just as acoustic and musing as the Sparks, but it's not the same song which is the genius of these guys. Christmas Lights was also beautiful and totally underrated. I was slightly dissapointed with Every Teardrop is a Waterfall, the chords seemed to simplistic and the melody sounded like it was struggling to follow them. But after listening to it first thing on a few Monday mornings, I got the point, the optimism they were trying to get across, and although I certainly don't listen to it as much as some other songs of theirs, I like it. Paradise is a great song, and most definitely a Coldplay song behind the synths. I think it was brilliantly done. The bass and beat make me want to turn it up louder and louder, and the builds with the strings are genius. And the resolutions with the suspended 4ths (any musicians out there will know what I mean) make the builds that much better. The lyrics are mediocre but I've honestly never expected much from Coldplay lyrics. It's the music that makes this band, and although this is nothing like their old stuff that I know and love dearly, this is still great music and I can't wait to listen to the rest of Mylo Xyloto.
  14. That does put a damper on blasting hehehe I actually don't like ETiaW much...I don't hate it but I wasn't crazy for it either. This song on the other hand is definitely the best new recorded song we have so far :D I hope the other new stuff sounds like this. :waffle:
  15. Yeah I saw that I'm blasting it right now :D This is why I love living in the country: you can blast music as loud as you want and nobody cares :D :D :D
  16. YAYAYYAYAYAYAA dont have to stay up and its amazing!!! I love the strings!!!! They really did a good job with it. I can't wait for the album. I'm loving this era more and more :D :D :waffle:
