Chris was once asked in an interview if he's ever used leftover material on a new album, to which he replied: "Noooo." I'm sure CP has a new focus, a new direction, and has left everything else behind.

^Everything from the Viva era was magic imo. No surprise the demos are great too.

I still think we're a year away. I'm predicting 1st single: March 2014 LP6: Summer 2014

^This. And put music ahead of story/concept. Give us the best music you made, not the music that fits the story. UiF was discribed by Chris or Will as the "missing piece." In reality, all this meant was "there's a hole in the story that we have to fill." Personally, UiF grew on me, I'm not bashing the song, but if any song felt like a filler on MX, it was this.

11 minutes may be an exaggeration, but I would love one or two six minute songs. There wasn't much breathing room in MX.

Tactics used by MLK and Ghandi were brilliant in their time and situation. In fact, their tactics are still very effective today... but this is the internet.

Its like killing for the ultimate goal of peace. It seems contradictory, but in reality, it is necessary. The only way to correct a condescending person, is to condescend them back. I don't want to become that which I hate, but if it is for the common good, I will swallow my pride and dignity to eliminate evil. 'Tis the way of the world. But yes, shall we talk about LP6?

Hahahaha! I'm not trying to look like anything. You think my motivation is to make myself look greater than thou? Nobody knows who anybody is in real life on this forum; I don't care what I look like right now. I'm done with this. You're getting so worked up! Ahahahaha! Hahaha! Good grief. Whew... that's rich.

Broadcasting a pm to the public. Thats real classy. Says a lot about your character. I meant everything I said, but I hoped we could keep it between us. Nobody likes to see a petty argument on the internet. Buuut I shouldn't keep assuming you'll turn around and admit your fault. I guess I should lower my standards for humanity. ;)

No surprise you won't admit your own fault. Thats the internet I guess. I'm not gonna argue.

I meant by Coldplayers on this forum, in which case, yes they are universally admired. By the way, I'm getting really tired of you condescending everyone. Whenever someone shares an opinion, you shit all over it with a short, smug comment. Just let people express their thoughts.

I'd hate to make assumptions off patterns that have only developed in five albums, but the trends do indicate that LP6 will be phenomenal and universally admired, like VLV and AROBTTH.

Charlie Brown and Major Minus are great songs that were ruined on the studio version. Other than those two, I don't feel like the over-production hurt any other songs. Sure PoC and DLIBYH are very dense and heavy, but they aren't good songs anyway, imo.

Up In Flames actually grew on me. And I don't think its a big deal that MTM didn't make it on MX... the important thing is we got it and can listen to it. Besides, if you listen to music most of the time on your iPod, you can always make a custom playlist with MTM inserted wherever you like. ^^^ and also I'm glad to hear that Eno is not on this one, buuut... do you know for sure if this is true?

Hmmmm the song is ok musically, to me. But I would like to see Chris go in this direction lyrically.

Man! So many great points being made...

'Low' is a criminally underrated song
ehhh wouldn't say top ten but definitely a solid track.

Probably no EPs. Just singles.

Charlie Brown had been in development for three years prior to the release of MX.

Ok, so lets say that what Will and Chris are saying holds true. Hypothetically, lets say the first single comes out in December. Then LP6 comes out Spring of next year. That would mean it took a full six or seven less months to make LP6 than it did MX. Would this mean anything for the music? Chris says that the great songs come to him all at once in a matter of ten minutes (ie Clocks, Yellow, Viva la Vida, ETIAW). What if Chris just had more of these types of occasions this time around, thus resulting in a shorter recording time. Would this mean that LP6 will particularly be very good in just the amount of big songs? If Will's words have any validity, how do you think the smaller recording window would affect the music?

Oh, you're so clever. :sneaky:
