  1. Yeah I don't see how Future relates to anything Coldplay is doing. But I think they can learn some cool new sounds from Madeon.
  2. Dubstep is a very fine line. Especially for a band that you would never think of doing dubstep. I don't think listening to madeon means that they are going to do dubstep, but the more I think about it, the more I feel this would wreck Coldplay.
  3. Good Lord, Chris. If you do dubstep you better know what you're doing. I really don't want Coldplay to f*ck up like Muse did on 2nd Law. That being said, if this is what they're drawing inspiration from then I have reason to be excited for LP6. This might be the most bold and far-fetched album yet.
  4. Opener: MX Hurts Like Heaven (Honorable mention: Life in Technicolor) Closer: Death and All of His Friends (Honorable mention: Amsterdam)
  5. ^Chris always talks about how their music is a reflection of how they felt at that time. They are obviously very happy right now, as MX reflects that. And unfortunately, Chris has also talked about the fact that sometimes he writes music based on how exciting he imagines them live. So I think the anthems will continue, but I don't see that as a bad thing. Sure, its a breath of fresh air when they strip it back, but it just wouldn't be Coldplay if they didn't go big.
  6. Coldplay, give us horns. (ie Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground or Life Is for Living)
  7. The only album that didn't change much from its predecessor is X & Y. I really believe Coldplay hates that album. Therefore, I think LP6 will be -- at the very least -- different.
  8. What is that for which, you, is of that. Why not look at that and think about that which cannot be? Tell me that, sir. Do you even know what you are for which it is not actually me or you? Probably not. Leave.
  9. Would you kindly leave this forum?
  10. Best post in a while.
  11. Well, if anything, I hear that VLVODAAHF is the most embraced album by non-Coldplay fans. So where does that bring us? One of the most over used excuse for not liking Coldplay is that their music is slow, depressing, and redundant. Through the eyes of someone who does not like Coldplay, Parachutes fits this description well (Don't Panic, Sparks, Trouble, We Never Change). I love Parachutes and I love Coldplay. But someone who isn't passionate about their music will simply not get it.
  12. Daylight is the only song I feel like skipping on AROBTTH. The saving grace of Green Eyes (not that it needs one) is the chorus. I love the chord change and the lyric... I came here with a loan And I feel so much lighter Since I met you Its a great song imo.
  13. I disagree whole heartedly. About producers: I think Eno was the necessary force to push Coldplay's talent and teach them a better way of approaching music. I think he needs to be a bigger part of LP6 than he was in MX.
  14. Your description of parachutes makes it seem very weak lol. I think that if you're not a coldplay fan, parachutes would be impossible to listen to. Its basically why coldplays music is considered whiney bull crap by the haters. That said, I like parachutes. Shiver, Yellow, and Everything's Not Lost are the best off the album. And I think Don't Panic is a bit overrated on this forum.
  15. Why do people generally think that Lost! is weak? Its one of my favorites.
  16. Green Eyes is great. Cemetries of London is great too. Definitely one of Coldplay's strongest lyrical songs.
  17. Definitely. I get the feeling that they aren't very proud of X & Y. Jonny mentioned in the mx film that they have been improving since 2005 (year of X & Y release). Viva proved to be a major departure from the style of the first three albums.
  18. ^ so your favorite track is Princess of China?
  19. ^ Chris has referred to the first three albums as a trilogy a few times.
  20. Mylo Xyloto (the track) is MUCH better live.
  21. Okay I guess I only made my previous statement based on PoC. Back at Rock IM Park, the woahs only came out at the climax which made them more powerful. In the final version they stuffed them into any empty space and didn't let the instrumental shine. I just think it would benefit their music if they just balanced the woahs a bit more with more vocal variation. I love the woahs as much as the next guy but... whatever. What am I saying?
  22. I too, love Chris's lower register. Its so good and unique. If they could cut down a bit on the "Oh woh ohs" and the "yooouuu ooos" and utilize more of this I'd be happy.
  23. Coldplay could do no wrong during the Viva era
  24. Nah, I'm not gonna take this to a pm argument. I'm the ass hole for trying to push your buttons. I've got no problem with you and I'm sure you're a great person This isn't sarcasm. Sorry for being jerk. Its kinda fun to troll but that's no excuse :) Respect.
  25. You are so ignorant. lol
