I am wholeheartedly against having them be on the cover. Its cover art not cover photo. Leave stuff like that to the greatest hits album, if that ever happens.

Obviously from my comment above I wouldn't want LP6 to be like MX so I don't know how you made that connection. I always want Coldplay to evolve. I just don't get all the negativity around MX. I mean if you don't like it, that's fine, but the era is essentially over so lets put it to rest. After all this is an LP6 thread

^ I guess it's just a matter of how much it irks a fan that Coldplay is being associated with mainstream pop. Personally, I could care less, but it is bittersweet to realize that they have moved far away from the AROBTTH style.

Mylo Xyloto is kick-ass. Not necessarily a step forward in quality (its arguable), but definitely a step forward in Coldplay's evolution. I'd take something completely new over a AROBTTH 2.0 or VLVODAAHF 2.0

And its still exciting when I listen to it today. A sign of a great song. Haters gonna hate, ETIAW is fantastic.

It's alright. Its happened to me as well. :)

LPs are proper full length albums. EPs are a smaller samples of music with usually about four or five tracks. LP is to Parachutes as EP is to Brothers and Sisters

Man, I really wished those 13 year old fangirls would deliver some legit news on LP6.

If they can pull off a great b) then I'll take that any day. But that's kind of hard to do-- to start an album with an explosion of sound without being to heavy-footed. So I'd be fine with a LiT type lead in.

Well LP6 will feature strings. Not much of a surprise but its good to know that they're working again. I am excited!

OK it wouldn't be ridiculous but its doesn't seem like something Guy would do. On the other hand, we've seen Will sing a lot. I don't know what to make of some of this (like backpacking in korea). But I like the first two songs as ideas.

Guy singing would be ridiculous. So would a bass solo. Its just not what coldplay's about. But I do want Will to take a proper lead on a song a la Death Will Never Conquer. People should give Chris some credit as a song writer though, which includes not just the lyrics, but also the central melody. At their core, Coldplay are melodic rockers, and they're very good at it
