  1. Coldplay is using Atlantic records. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Warner music doesn't have Coldplay. They have parlaphone but Coldplay cut it's own deal to stay out of warner Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. NY Daily News did a live blog and worth reading. Here's their take on Martin's comedic performance: Chris Martin has come on stage to formally induct, or "consciously couple" (as Gwyneth Paltrow might put it) Peter Gabriel with the Hall of Fame. by Adam Edelman 7:38 PM yesterday Coldplay’s Chris Martin does a vaudeville routine as much as an induction speech: "I didn't know how to start, so my mom always told me to look to the Bible. I'd like to start by reading from the Book of Genesis." The best part of the speech: "And Phil the Collins said on to him, 'Who are you oh angel?' and the angel replied, 'I am Gabriel, I bring you this good news. I am going solo. Ye, shall be the singer of Genesis.'" Does he do bar mitzvahs? 4. A sad coincidence: Saturday, just after midnight, I wrote a blog about the show I had seen on Saturday (the video shoot did not include two songs), as I looked forward to what turned out to be an even better show on Sunday. Here's what I wondered: Are the lyrics referring to the life of an enduring love and eternal hope or to the ending of hopes, dreams and life itself? It seems like the former but it will take a closer listen to figure it out or wait for the band to tell us the meaning of the new album.
  5. Coldplay just posted the news Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Honestly, I'm not surprised. She said in an interview a few months ago that "no matter what happens with our marriage…" he's been a good father. And then there was her campaign to shut down the Vanity Fair article. The house just purchased in Malibu was purchased under her name, I read.
  7. So what will they take on tour and when? http://gebemartinez.tumblr.com/post/80616178550/the-big-question-when-will-coldplay-tour-with-the
  8. I can't believe this…I am having trouble hearing the melody in my head, even as the lyrics are giving me the rhythm…I think because someone mentioned DLIBYH and now I can't get THAT out of my head. Blame it on taking a red-eye back to DC last night and going to work right away; my brain is a mush. Hopefully, I will dream about it tonight and crank it out on the piano (and have my husband wonder why I'm playing the piano at 3 a.m.!)
  9. I play the piano but am on sensory overload from the concert. I'm going to have to go through all of the songs in my head when I've had a chance to process :)
  10. Taking the red-eye back to DC and wish this weekend could have gone on forever. This was the best concert experience I have ever had (and I can go back years of concert-going!) I thought yesterday was a great show and then came today's, when Chris invited us to come to the stage. (I was sitting in front row in front of Guy and had a great line of vision for every band member.) Standing at the rim of the stage reminded me of this long ago memory: [video=youtube;s-pFAFsTFTI]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-pFAFsTFTI After the show, I asked Guy for his guitar pick and he placed one in my hand. One thing a fellow Coldlplayer and I heard that struck us: Chris said only a few thousand people would hear this album live. We wondered what that meant about touring since bands make money off tours much more than albums. Anyway, I'm hoping I'll remember all of the songs until the TV special, DVD/album come out! Thanks Coldplayers for lending each other support as we navigated through this set of shows the last couple of weeks. Though I signed up for the forum a long while back, I wasn't an active participant until recently and I really felt a part of the community of very loyal fans! Finally, thanks to the band for being so good to its fans.
  11. I heard that from a friend in D.C. soon after leaving the Sunday's show in L.A. Good news (especially after the Lohan story last week.)
  12. Today's show was even more awesome, if that is possible. Chris Martin invited the audience to move up to the stage and we sang along Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Cross posting my "review"...two cent! After watching Coldplay's video shoot for the NBC special to air in a month, there is no doubt Ghost Stories is going to be special. You feel it the moment you step off the studio lot and into a dark room with bare trees lit by candles, set like a midnight forest. The film being produced with the concept album brings to mind many possible story lines. Are the lyrics referring to the life of an enduring love and eternal hope or to the ending of hopes, dreams and life itself. It will take a closer listen to figure it out or wait for the band to tell us the meaning of the new album. But this much is certain. Coldplay remains a great band because it keeps challenging itself to test new concepts while holding on to the childlike qualities than fans find endearing. Guy Berryman -- whose influence can be heard on these tracks -- runs his hands through laser beams to play the baseline of “Midnight,” Will Champion plays the boss even though Chris Martin is managing the stage, Jonny Buckland is quiet Jonny, and Chris leaps to new heights in an aerial display of his agility that we’ve come to know from large stages. The self-deprecating humor and charm endure. There is so much more to be said about the Coldplay of 2014 and whether the music reflects a new level of maturity and introspection -- a Peter Pan-like fantasy against the backdrop of real human emotions about love and self-esteem. Without any tour dates set, it is difficult to see how the theater-in-the-round setting an the intimacy of the new songs will lend themselves to large stage productions. The current set is truly an enchanting one that all true Coldplayers should see. I am lucky enough to be able to return to the sound stage this afternoon to get another look and take it all. As always, whenever I see them, I hope the next time I see them is sooner than later. See you soon Coldplay! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. I wasn't on this thread and didn't see it on tapatalk :(
  16. Congrats Swttbliss! I got an offer for a ticket but I didn't see it in time :(
  17. Well, not really…because they love the audiences. But have you ever practiced music so many times that it becomes rote? It was just a random thought. I want them to be super fantastic on Sunday :)
  18. Here's my new fear: By the time I see them Sunday, they will be so tired of singing Magic. I know, I know…I've seen them multiple days in a row before and they always put on a good show. I don't know why I'm so nervous…like a kid!
  19. Would still love to see them tonight or tomorrow afternoon or night, as I'm not sure the Sunday show is a taping. But I shouldn't complain…I'll take Sunday and consider myself lucky.
  20. I just received instructions for Sunday's show but haven't heard anything about tomorrow's taping. Here is what they say about Sunday: Please note that no cell phones, tablets, cameras, or recording devices of any kind will be allowed in the performance area. You will be required to relinquish all devices prior to entering Stage 30. Your devices will be returned to you immediately following the performance. Given these conditions, we recommend that you leave your devices in your car instead, which will expedite your entrance to and exit from the performance.
  21. They did a similar taping for vh1 before Viva tour i think. And did a Q&A with audience. It was so cool Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I just saw new show added and signed up! Thank you cold players for helping give this old lady another Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Cross posting: I just arrived at IAD for flight to LAX and saw posting about video shoot on Sat so I signed up for wait list. Thank you Coldplayers and Tash for giving this old lady a chance to see Coldplay before Sunday (I didn't get tix to Fri or Sat shows.) It would be a real treat to see them taping.
