1. And another correction: Chris made the comment about set being too short after Paradise. I remember thinking other acts had longer sets, like Lil Wayne. I thought he went too long and wished CP had had time for another song.
2. I meant to say not all were there to see Coldplay and were arriving for later acts like Kanye.
3. A couple of things about that night. The producers were keeping almost a stopwatch on all the performances and Chris mentioned after Clocks the set was too short. So with VLV, Chris didn't do his usual acrobatics or let the chant occur. If I remember correctly, he ended it by turning and heading to keyboard. In fact, I remember wondering if he was a little jet lagged still from India trip. Another big factor, I think, is that the show was moving acts on and off stage at a pretty good clip and I don't think the lineup was well known so people were arriving a little late. (And of course not all were there to see Kanye) A couple of girls next to me thought CP was coming on later and they were super excited to see them. People around me were singing and dancing to the songs and my pics, like the one I posted, show crowd engaged. I remember watching fest last time they were there and thinking I wouldn't want to go because it looked so "Vegas" but I did enjoy it a lot. Different vibe inside than on livestream, I am sure.
4. This is probably the furthest away I have been at a CP concert but I loved the perspective. Contrary to what you could hear and see on the livestream, the audience was cheering and into the show. I think it's a bad venue because the acoustics are not great in terms of picking up audience react but the sound system is good.
5. One more fav photo from last night.
6. these are always fun moments to see at @coldplay concerts. I am not going to complain about the festival. I am feeling lucky to be able to see them and look forward to attending as many more performances as my body and wallet allow [emoji3]
7. I had a side view so I had Chris' back when he was on keyboard. I am still at fest and don't know if you all heard him say at start of set that the set was too short. I still had hope we would get a new song because of orange streamers wrapped around the set. Good tease. Still, I wasn't disappointed. I love seeing Coldplay. They give me energy and make me happy to know that I can see them live. This was my13th concert and the shortest set I have ever seen (L'il Wayne seem to get a longer set) but I am so happy that I came. I can't wait to see them on tour on the East Coast.
8. If anyone get a sense of show lineup please tag me!
9. The show is supposed to start at 7:30 pacific time so I will be there on time.
10. I thought of that but it is a gift from my husband and I think I will enjoy Sam smith as well. But that's a good reason to stick with my current ticket. Why pay more for six songs?
11. I would love to sell my ticket so that I can buy another for a better seat.
12. I forgot Shiver. Good live performance for B stage like Up In Flames, etc.
13. I am just returning to the forum after long absence. I remember watching True Love during Sony Studios taping and remembering that it was really special. At larger concerts, I think my favorite live performances are from VLV tour. Violet Hill is one of my favorites and the lyrics are still so relevant today. The opening with LIT, Lost, Lovers In Japan, and of course VLV were all great live performances. I also like Speed of Sound but only heard acoustic version live and would like to hear full album version.
14. As part of my "surprise" birthday gift, my husband bought me a ticket for this concert. He knows how anxious I am to see them again and to hear a new song or two. I will probably have the worst seat I've ever had for a CP concert since he bought ticket weeks after they went on sale, but at least I will be in the house. If any Coldplayers on this thread plan to be there, please let me know. I will look for you. I may be wearing a facial mask at venue if smoking is bad since I have asthma ! (Hate Las Vegas but love Coldplay)
15. I would like to hear a live version of UFO. It can be done in C stage. And I would like to hear Speed of Sound as recorded, not the acoustic version they did in MX tour. Yellow is something I can do without. I think my favorite tour was VLV (though watching taping of GS DVD/NBC will be my favorite weekend if all time re Coldplay). I wasn't planning on going to Las Vegas but my husband surprised me with a ticket for my birthday. Not a great seat but I will be in the house!
16. Coldplay will be at IHeart music fest in Vegas next month. How did I miss the big news? They are def rolling out LP 7! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
17. I still think they may road test a new song off AHFOD at the Central Park festival in Sept since Chris Martin has a special interest in the project. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
18. I posted on another thread when Morning Joe had Chris Martin on for announcement. Promoter like ASFOS so I am sure that will be one of songs. I'm in DC area and would be revved up to go. But after ACL and Lalapalooza fests for Mylo, where I broke a foot, and now that My stamina is lower from health issues, I may have to forego this fest and watch on TV :(. Growing old is a bitch. 19. I think they will do a good set. The producer likes Sky Full of Stars so that will be in. I wonder if they will use this opportunity to read test new tunes from the next album. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
20. Coldplay will be with Beyoncé, Ed ShearN and Pearl Jam at free global citizen fest in sept. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
21. You get excited to see Chris Martin on Morning Joe on MSNBC. Talking global poverty free concert Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
22. A year ago I spent Cinco de Mayo with Coldplay and tonight I am at the White House. What a year. I can't wait for Coldplay's next tour! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
23. Maybe we should start a club for over 50 groupies...Coldplay's Oldplayers or Boomers for Berryman! At least start a new thread and ask AARP in US to provide discounts for Coldplay tickets! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
