Arctic Monkeys!
Don't know if everyone's seen this but they've been playing one of the new songs "Mad Sounds" recently. Now I really can't wait for AM. This type of song mixed with harder songs like "R U Mine" and "Do I Wanna Know" = Awesome.

The Who
^Love that video:D About the price, I'm totally with you. Quadrophenia is one of my favorite albums, but tickets to the concert were WAY out of my price range.

I've said it before, but I have always thought Coldplay would really work well if they created there own label like The Beatles did with Apple. Then, not only could they release music whenever and however they wanted, but they could also sign their own acts, which I think is something they would be very good at. Plus, it'd give them an outlet to work with said artists (Guy could produce some of their records, Chris could write them some songs, etc).

Wow his voice does sound really great in those! Probably the best live vocals I've heard from him in a while!:D

:shocked2:You're right! That's really cool! Does anyone know when the single will be available to the U.S market?

I love Second Bite of the Apple. The drums and the bass create a sound I haven't heard any artist do in a long time. Very fresh sounding. Pretty cool b-side too, it's like we got two b-sides, a reverse one and a normal one. Awesome:D

The Last Shadow Puppets
Not sure if this belongs here as it's not technically The Last Shadow Puppets, but apparently Miles Kane's New single will feature a song co written with Alex Turner

RSD 2013: 7-inch vinyl picture disc, featuring Hurts Like Heaven and Us Against The World (Live)
Free issue AND Recod Store Day Picture Disc?! This is awesome! Hopefully I can get my hands on one of those 7"s. It's cool they're selling some online too because some record stores probably won't have it.

Nice! Liam wasn't kidding, this is pretty experimental. Much more "epic" sounding than the songs from their debut! I can't wait for this album!

Beady Eye
:DThat's actually not that far away! I'm excited! Also it doesn't look like anybody posted it, but Jeff Wootton left and Kasabian's Jay Mehler will be replacing him.

Actually yeah, I like how The songs were divided between Viva and Prospekt's March. They have a similar overarching feel but Prospekt's March, to me, has more in common with the Viva demos. Sure, some of the songs could have been on the album but I feel we would have lost the viva feel that way. I often listen to them back to back but Each has a feel to it it would lose if it was together. I don' think that has anything to do with album length though, it's just that Viva was written to be a single album. Double albums need to be written as double albums IMO not just "two albums thrown together". But yes, I totally agree, Viva and Prospekt's March are better as stand alone works. We were spoiled with Prospekt's March, it pretty much an album all its own, though with EPs I think that is generally not the case.

Viva could have been double album with Prospekts March and maybe some of that "bloodless revolution" stuff. I mean, Viva was made as a single album and thus has sort of a storybook feel to it. I like it the way it is and would rather have it a single album BUT if they went in with the intention of a double album, not just including filler and things that would be bonus tracks, I think they could pull it off. The creativity and track variety of the Viva era assure me they could do it. I know they won't, people have very short attention spans (especially today). However, not as many people even listen to an album all the way through in one sitting these days so I wonder if it would matter what with the rise of mp3s and all.

I personally still think they should do a double album with some acoustic songs and some more upbeat songs. I think double albums are a great opportunity to put in all different kinds of genres and influences and I think that would work perfectly with Chris's writing specifically, as his influences are all over the board. Musically I liked the idea someone on here brought up about folk tale songs like Cemetaries of London. It'd be cool to have songs that tell short stories, sort of like what Ray Davies does. Could be a good evolution on the Viva folk songs. I also would like songs that mix the art-rock Viva tracks with the Pink Floyd sounding tracks like Moving To Mars and the stuff X&Y. Like Eugene Delacroix in space or something. That would be awesome.

Best double album ever?
I actually like Quadrophenia more, and I really like the story (even more than Tommy actually). Who's Next was actually going to be a rock opera too if you didn't know (It's called Lifehouse and Townshend actaully reconstructed it. It's an interesting read/listen if you're interested in Townshend's writing process). Second time you've posted something like that in this thread...I wonder if you've ever actually heard it? If so I can't really argue your views but if not you really should check it out, maybe you'll end up liking it:shrug: Anyway, I still vote it the best and I reccomend it to anyone if you have the time (It is a double albums after all!):)

Best double album ever?
I like the loose feel of the white album. It's very different from The Beatles other work and just other albums in general. The fact that they were are kind of working seperatly on it helps that feel I think. There's a lot going on and it's sort of chaotic (having "Why Don't We Do it In The Road" followed by "I Will"?), but personally I love that. The filler songs are in many ways some my favorites because they're so loose and direct. HOWEVER,that being said my personal vote would probably go to The Who's masterpeice Qudrophenia. One of my top albums of all time, can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet!

5 common criticisms of Coldplay (and why they're wrong)
This is where it goes from a debate to being rude. Not wanting to be part of this makes me scared? Telling me I accept delusion? Forget this. forget you. This is exactly what I'm talking about. You'll keep replying this stuff, anything to bring me down a peg. I'm really sick of it. You're gonna reply to this to I'm sure because you can't help yourself. Unfortunately I had this open when I opened the Internet and I can't help but reply to something this sickening. Get a life, get off the computer. I really have no words for how sick and tired I am of you. Don't bother to reply I won't see it as I've ignore listed you. It ain't much but whatever.

I have to much to do to read all these posts in response to me so I didn't read any of them. Whatever. This is a never ending thing which will not end until I admit I'm wrong or something, which I will not do because in my eyes everything I've said is valid. So goodbye whatever no more posting.

5 common criticisms of Coldplay (and why they're wrong)
I'm only stating it because it was in response to another post. I don't go put of my and start debates by saying "I don't agree with this post". That's what I don't get.

You can talk without sharing your thoughts about everything. I often do. I'm not saying you all can't talk about your views on everything, I just don't do that. If I don't like something I keep it to myself and talk about something I do like. I don't post in a thread of a band I don't like for example, I just go to a different thread. It's just the way some people, like me, are. I don't like debating, I just like a straightforward conversation. It's just a different way of conversation. I would really appreciate it of you all realized that.

I really don't though. I know you all don't like to hear that but I really don't. I rarely post my opinion. I read and then I move on. (Maybe that's why I have so much less posts:P) That's just my approach. I don't know why people want the whole world to know their thoughts and opinions:shrug: don't get all on my case for it though.

Also Reilly I'm not going to reply to your post because I feel like I've already addressed most of that stuff in other posts on here. Even though a lot of your responses actually seem just plain disrespectful to me, I feel like this is kind of settled and as I said above I do not want to become part of what I see as a problem. Your telling me I started an "issue" with my post but mine war more or less though I am sad to say, a response to yours. Again can we please stop all this, really? You'll never be satisfied with anything I have to say, so what do you want me to do?
