Thirteen Senses The Answering Machine The Postal Service Death Cab For Cutie Bombay Bicycle Club

Not sure if you guys have heard of this band, they're called Thirteen Senses. They're a bit similar to Coldplay & definitely worth a listen [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] They're my favourite band at the minute, their 3rd album "Crystal Sounds" has a grandiose style to it, a bit like Viva La Vida. Anyway, hope you enjoy them, let me know what you think too!

Big Arctic Monkeys fan, massively let down by Suck it and See. I loved Humbug, it's probably my favourite album of any band. SIAS is just so bland & contrived to me. Definitely their worst offering lyrically, Library Pictures, Brick by Brick & Don't Sit Down, stand out as particularly poor. I went to the Sheffield gig, was a great show, I couldn't care less about Mardy Bum, it's just a song for fake fans in my eyes, but it was nice to see A Certain Romance get an outing, even if it's been put to bed again. Disappointed they're only play 3 Humbug songs live, they just seem to be pandering to the mainstream fans. They will be releasing a Documentary DVD about the Sheffield gigs. Anyone here received their tickets to Newcastle in November, if any have booked, I'm still waiting on mine to arrive?

The thread is here to discuss the band, if I feel like I want to come and say I don't like them, it's equal use of my time as if I was to come and say I do like them.

I just don't understand what you enjoy about them? It's uninspired, uninventive LAD rock. Of course, you're all well within your rights to enjoy them, but I can tolerate their boring monotonous drone.

I hate this band so much, they're just generic sound alikes who're copying a trend that was "fresh" 5/6 years ago. They represent everything that is wrong with "indie music" nowadays and are the nadir of "Guitar music" I don't understand why Arctic Monkeys (one of my favourite bands outside of Coldplay) choose to associate themselves with The Vaccines, as they are above and away a better band than these shitty, imitative, sound-alikes could ever hope to be /rantover

I noticed this too. I instantly recognized the riff as being Charlie Brown. Did anyone who heard it notice a keyboard part that wasn't in the live version? I thought I heard one, might have been dreaming. This makes me think that Charlie Brown is definitely planned as a single, because the songs they play on Sky are usually singles, for example they've been using Death Cab For Cutie - You Are A Tourist recently as well.

Not sure if someones answered your question yet. The first 3 albums i can connect to on an emotional level, with the lyrics and how the albums tie in with events that have happened in my life whilst i've been listening to them. Viva La Vida for me is just musical perfection, i absolutely adore its overall "sound" and the "experimental nature" of that album. Hope that went some way to answering your question. Doubtful, i still think there's at least one more song that we don't know about on the album. I'm still not sure the band actually know what the final tracklisting will look like. Also Chris said in an interview it was going to be 13 tracks.

I think it will look great on a 12" Vinyl cover. So colourful.

Just looked at the album art, noticed a few things "CK" on the left hand side, about 3/4 of the way up "xylobrytes" below the "O" in Xyloto "Kar Kids" writing inside the L of Mylo "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" written to the right of the L in Mylo "MX" written to the left of the O in Mylo

Watching Premier League years and Coldplay starting playing on it. I literally can't escape them. It's almost as if the guys at Sly Sports know!
