Call me crazy, but I think that Mylo Xyloto is a continuation of the rebellion theme in Viva. The album itself is inspired by Anti-Nazi movements, and of course, Graffiti, the urban way of expressing yourself. Viva wasn't a story, but Mylo is, so Side A (The first 7 tracks ending with ETIAW) is the story of the rebellion in Viva, mentioned in "Us Against the World" and especially in "Charlie Brown", with MMIX/ETIAW being the celebration song of their victory. Unfortunately, Side B (The last 7 beginning with MM) is the story of how it all fell apart under the consequences of the leaders' selfish actions, as mentioned in "Princess Of China" and "Up In Flames". Should I assume that "Mylo Xyloto" himself is the person that drives the rebels apart, that would mean Mylo Xyloto is an outsider. An "Alien", metaphorically speaking. If that's true, "Major Minus" could be about how he was watching the leaders' every move, and "U.F.O." could be about how he came to the new republic and drove the rebellion against the rebellion (i hope that makes sense :laugh3:). Grafitti, the urban way of expressing yourself, is a major theme to Side B, the thoughts and hatrid of the people in the original resistance, spreading their influence onto the walls of the city. So, Anti-Nazi Movements and possibly even Viva itself inspired Side A's tracks, while Grafitti inspired Side B. That's my theory. :D

Remember, this is not a debate on whether Coldplay is going to release a compilation album. This is a thread discussing IF Coldplay released a compilation album after Mylo Xyloto, what would its name and tracklisting be?

From what i can see, yes Coldplay are releasing previews of songs from Mylo after Monday.

I think that Princess Of China wouldn't be that much of a highlight from Mylo. Personally, I think the song will be great, knowing that Rhianna will be on there. She is my favorite featuring artist. She is crap as a solo artist, though. Like Ludacris.

In my honest opinion, which even I think is a crap opinion, that the name should have something to do with roadie. The Prospket in the Viva Era served almost the same purpose as the roadie team in the MX Era. Very Sketchy, but who knows? :confused:

I laugh at the People who chose October 3. I honestly believe the Video will come out in the week of Mylo's Release. (17-25 October, the Monday beginning, to the day of US and Canadian Release.) Anytime now...

My Thoughts on a EP Tracklisting (including others' opinions too) 1. Car Kids 2. Akio 3. Sex And Violence 4. Princess Of China (without Rihanna) 5. Golden Arrow 6. Up With The Birds (featuring Leonard Choen) 7. Great Expectations 8. Tomorrow Car Kids and Golden Arrow are the only ones though that I am definitely sure are going to end up as some kind of release.

At first, I thought it was a tracktime, reading 75:08. silly me! One of the coldplayers not only pointed out to me that it was actually 7:5:08, he also insulted me, calling me greedy for apparently demanding more and more (?) :confused::veryangry2: Jonathanpeel:whip: Thankfully, a friendlier Coldplayer that wasn't angry about his head being dropped on the concrete sidewalk pointed out that it was actually a refrence to the date that Viva La Vida was first releaed on iTunes- 7th May, 2008. Yet again another smart move by Coldplay. What other things can we find on this wall, I wonder?:thinking:
