So the drum beat is ok, but the fact that in the studio version they destroy it with that unnecessary electronic bass kick is just annoying. We get it, you like your laptops and synth keyboards now, why don't you just make music? You're not Radiohead, and you continue to make that clear, so stop. Ugh. Good song ruined.

Biggest Disappointment: Princess of China. Absolute crap. Biggest Surprise: Up With the Birds and Up in Flames are gorgeous, as is UFO

After downloading the leak I'm considering not buying the album and even deleting most of this. Its boring, its overproduced, and there are only a few standout songs. Charlie Brown Major Minus Up In Flames Don't Let it Break Your Heart (only ok) Up With the Birds Other than those its actually too much. I don't mind electronics or a bit of fancy tech but with PoC its just so layered on that you can barely hear the song, and Rhianna is freaking pointless and sounds so out of place that you feel bad for her. She's like the hot girl who lost a bet and now is uncomfortable at the dance with the dorky kid in danger of being a perpetual virgin. I'm just frustrated with Coldplay right now. After 2 amazing albums and 2 good albums they should be able to deliver still, but now they're in the 'hit and miss' stage of writing and that freaks me out because that means their relevance is on the way out. Sorry boys, this may be the last album I listen to from you.

1. Mylo Xyloto - Not bad as an intro. Not as cool as the last album's intro, but its fun and happy. 2. Hurts Like Heaven - Dripping with cheese in the chorus but its good. Overall a fun song that kind of sets tone for the album. 3. Paradise - Boring. I hate this song. Its plodding, overproduced like crazy, and just not a good track. Repetitive and boring. 4. Charlie Brown - Fun, bouncy, and a little more of what I was hoping for from them on this album. I heard the live track a long time ago and this isn't terribly different. 5. Us Against the World - The final product reminds me a bit of Don't Panic or Now My Feet won't Touch the Ground in terms of sound. Lyrics are ok, but the audio is the main draw on this one. Also a touch of Til Kingdom Come here. 6. M.M.I.X. - Not really a necessary track. Seconds of buildup that lead to ETIAW. Pointless really. 7. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall - This is boring as well. I thought this was a lackluster single. It has a bit of a dance feel. Some of the lyrics are inspired, others are stupid. This one had a nice lead riff from Jonny though. 8. Major Minus - I love this damn song. Its weird, its odd, its fun, its dark, and it touches territory they haven't visited often in their career. Lyrics are about the White Rose movement in Nazi Germany. Oh, and this is a touch of what we were promised from the acoustic album. 9. U.F.O. - I LOVE this track. Nice acoustic ditty with Chris and a perfect embodiment of what I wanted from the 5th LP. 10. Princess of China - Ugh. This song is overproduced and plodding, not fun at all. Very obnoxious actually. Rhianna is worthless here. She's a gimmick, trotted out to grab people who aren't into Coldplay who can say "I like the Rhianna song". And Chris is boring here as well. All the electronics get to be too much, they just damage the song. 11. Up in Flames - Not too bad actually. The chorus is repetitive and a tad eh, but the song overall reminds me of old Coldplay with a new twist. Again, another track I think embodies what was promised as its piano and drum and gorgeous. I like it. 12. A Hopeful Transmission - Again, pointless. I'll be skipping this one to. Learn from other's mistakes guys, this many transitions aren't necessary. 13. Don't Let it Break Your Heart - Very busy song, but not terrible. This is what Paradise and Princess of China COULD have been if they'd toned down the overproduction a bit. Album has been very hit and miss to this point, but this seems like a nice display of what it is supposed to be. 14. Up With the Birds - Not bad at all. Nice sound, pleasant, and overall a happy ending to the story. Too bad it was preceded by a semi-lackluster album.

Just listened to Princess of China, currently thinking of ignoring this album. Legitimately, that was so stupid. Overproduction like crazy, and Rhianna sounds so out of place, ugh. Made me feel sick.

Honestly though guys, Coldplay isn't infallible. I know you guys are excited but Paradise was just awful. And Teardrop was meh, what are we to think of this album...

Guys most leaks are a week before. We're ten days early, probably got at least 3 more. Not every band leaks 3 months early like Incubus hahaha

Mostly just hunting online now. I'm done messing with EMI outside of my IT guys checking calendars and such, right now I'm just scouring the internet for a leak somehow. I doubt we'll get one for 3 days but you never know.

I'm working hard to get this album but to be honest the things I've heard from the new album thus far make me nervous, its not something I'm into. But its a concept album so I'm waiting to hear it in context.

My IT friends who set up the attempt to leak MX. I don't know how legit it is, but they said that its on the calendar.

I'm gonna guess the main website will have a link. It'll be a legit stream. My guess is there's been a small leak and while they may have plugged it the damage is done because soon it'll be everywhere so they're doing what they can.

EMI will start streaming the album on October 15th. Those of you who voted for that date, you win automatically, as its unlikely to leak before then. Either that or its already leaked so they're going to be making up for it on that day. Either way, its only a couple days guys.
