  1. I've just finished reading The Leper Colony by Graeme Larmour. It ends with a blinding story about the Iraq War called Dead Of The Night which is worth the price of admission on its own, although it's an impressive collection overall.
  2. That sounds like a fantastic document!
  3. Babybird Talk Talk Pixies Mekons Twilight Singers Charlatans XTC
  4. Babybird - Unloveable Fantastic song from a fantastic album with a fantastic (if bleak) video directed by Johnny Depp: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxrYcTgATaM]Babybird - Unloveable[/ame]
  5. The Leper Colony by Graeme Larmour
  6. An absolute blinder. I hadn't expected to hear Don't Panic, so that alone was enough to put a stupid big smile on my face.
  7. Can't go far wrong with The Coral, although Nightfreak & The Sons Of Becker wouldn't be my first choice for a newbie. There was a 2cd ltd edition of Butterfly House with 5 extra tracks, which is well worth getting if you've a choice between the two. They also released an acoustic version of The Butterfly House, although I haven't heard that yet. Has anyone heard the soundtrack album Bill Ryder-Jones put out?
  8. The Sun Also Rises or The Old Man & The Sea are probably the easiest to start with. For Whom The Bell Tolls is probably his best, but it's quite daunting due to its length. His short stories also have some of his best writing - try The Snows Of Kilimanjario or Men Without Women. As for me, I'm going to put Moby Dick down for a while and look for something lighter to read.
  9. Sounds like a bargain to me... if only I had a turntable...
  10. Ah, that makes sense - thanks, RazorEye!
  11. Currently reading Moby Dick (but making slow progress with it)
  12. Nutella every time. :)
  13. Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere (I did a search but couldn't find a thread), but was Don't Panic released as a single in the UK? I remember seeing a video for it but don't recall it charting. Kyle
  14. Hello everyone! My name's Kyle + even though it's taken me a long time to join the board, I've been a Coldplay fan for many years. Look forward to taking a look at the board and having a chat with other Coldplay fans. :)
