Okay, this is REALLY a Random CP thought. So all of a sudden my tablet starts playing True Love twice tonight. Once, it was on the floor and I wasn't even touching it, then just now as I was typing. I hit a key and it started up again! I really feel like there is a Ghost Story here. My music is in I-Tunes, not on my Android tablet. Finally figured out that I have a version of True Love in Mega that one of you sent me. BUT, I have no idea what makes it start or stop playing. I don't have any alarms or timers set on this device. OK, guys, I think I got the connection between Poirot and Pope Alexander, and maybe the lyric in Clocks. Poirot was Roman Catholic and he purportedly fashioned himself as "Papa Poirot" or "father confessor". So, my guess about the Clocks lyric is "Tides that I try to swim against, have got me down upon my knees, oh I beg, I beg and plead." I'm just guessing that the "down upon my knees" line relates to confession. How that all leads to another Coldplay song...that's where I'm hoping all of you can help! You are SO right! My husband graciously let me spend the $176 last year for a seat on the disabled platform by B1 (where my original seat was before I knew I would be unable to stand much). So I swam there on 7/23 and saw the 2/3 of a show, minus the best parts at the end and the openers. It was a HUGE deal for me to even make the show physically, and my husband made great sacrifices to get me there and back. So, yeah, I think maybe when I saw people saying the prices went Up and Up and WAY UP, I just gave up this time and decided not to go. For fun, I tried to see what $96 would buy, and it was all the way in back on the 2nd level. This years' show was to have been my one big splurge for a really good seat. I went in 2011 to the United Center and had to switch my top of the house seat for a disabled seat to the side back of the stage on the first level. That was $90 and also a huge deal. Stephie, you sound like you have awesome parents! Just caught up on everyone's posts after a busy, hard few days. A highlight was yesterday, when I was checking out at the grocery store. The live piano player played Paradise, my top CP song!. I play piano, but only by reading music. So I asked where he learned it. He casually said, as he kept playing, "By ear". I can't believe it. Dazzled! They say you either learn to play by ear or by music, and are naturally drawn to one vs the other. I am always stunned by the group who can learn by ear. Any of you do that?
