Coldplay Personalities
https://www.16personalities.com/articles/energy-intuitive-vs-observant. @coldplayisawesome, this page may really help. Something to keep in mind as we type the band everyone, we are mixing two theories with different definitions of the continuums when we look at Meyers-Briggs vs. 16 Personalities. For example, in your post, you are looking at Meyers-Briggs, which combines two of the continuums, while 16 Personalities says that the continuums operate independently from one another. I think the page here from 16 Personalities helps me to classify Chris as Intuitive. He is creative, spontaneous and looks at big-picture concepts. I just don't see him as Observant, a group which are much more structured and detail-oriented in contrast (like I think Guy is). Just my two-cents worth. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

Coldplay Personalities
Chris is definitely more Extroverted. Remember, there is a relative balance of the two types, so he could have some Introverted tendencies. But as someone already said, he tends to refuel with other activities around people, from what I can see. One thing I have also read is that it's easy to be fooled about people in very public roles, like Chris. There are many celebrities, actors, etc who are Introverts in public roles. If I had time now, I'd look up some examples. Maybe later this week. I think Chris is Intuitive for sure. His writing is often about very coneptual, big picture topics. Also, the way he sometimes messes up songs and improvises makes me think he is not as detail oriented. He has also admitted to being a terrible cook. I think someone who can follow recipes well would be an S, although many great cooks probably improvise. So Intuitive. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

Coldplay Personalities
Observant individuals are highly practical, pragmatic and down-to-earth. They tend to have strong habits and focus on what is happening or has already happened. Intuitive individuals are very imaginative, open-minded and curious. They prefer novelty over stability and focus on hidden meanings and future possibilities. Read more here.
Thinking individuals focus on objectivity and rationality, prioritizing logic over emotions. They tend to hide their feelings and see efficiency as more important than cooperation. Feeling individuals are sensitive and emotionally expressive. They are more empathic and less competitive than Thinking types, and focus on social harmony and cooperation. Read more here.
Judging individuals are decisive, thorough and highly organized. They value clarity, predictability and closure, preferring structure and planning to spontaneity. Prospecting individuals are very good at improvising and spotting opportunities. They tend to be flexible, relaxed nonconformists who prefer keeping their options open. Read more here. Note that the opposite letters exist on a scale and most people are somewhere in the middle, so it can be hard to tell which way someone leans toward. In this thread, we will try to figure out the personality types of the Coldplay members We'll do it one letter at a time. We'll start with Chris and figure out his first trait. We can debate and discuss here with each other and use what they've said in interviews, what they're like on stage, etc. to prove our points. I'll have a poll set up so we can tally the votes and give what we think is the correct trait for each Coldplay member. 5 Coldplay members × 4 letters per member = 20 letters total! Let's start: Is Chris introverted or extroverted? *By the way, you can go off topic in this thread and talk about anything at any time. It will be the votes that count, though.* Guy42, Oh thank you for starting this!! Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

Nie, congrats! I ran away, do you mean that the video could be of a radio interview, televised performance orconcert? When you say that Chris does exactly what he is told NOT to do, who is doing the "telling", another band member? Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

Don't Let It Break Your Heart!
First, I think they call these feelings being human, @alisbe. @cpe3176, I so appreciate your thoughts about Trump. I felt consumed by emotion all morning after his tweets calling Meryl Streep a second rate actress after she acted as a true hero and leader, using her voice (what little was left after grievimg the loss of her dear friend Carrie Fisher) to dare to exercise her right to free speech and use her platform at the Golden Globes to speak out against the danger of our newly elected leader setting a dangerous example by mocking the disabled. Being disabled myself, I was grateful to her, as I was appalled when we continuously saw what he did during the election. It made me sick. Reading his tweets today yet again made me sick. I read his denial about this being mockery. I am fighting not to be consumed by my anger towards him and the fact that enough people in our countnry, in the most populous states, could overlook his hatred and immaturity and vote for him. I don't want to be like that. I know it is stooping to his level. Any suggestions on how to positively channel the depth of my feelings about this leadership change so it doesn't break my heart because it is. I've never felt so strongly about a political figure. I feel competted to do something. "Give me love over, love over hate...". Thanks for listening! Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

Yes. I have also been borderline E/I and T/F and J/P onMeyers Briggs in the past. One thing I am not sure of is whether the 16 Personalities tool is supposed to be a relatively stable indicator (as M-B) is, I believe. In other words, one that does not change throughout your lifetime. Or, whether it is supposed to be more situational. Some tools, like DISC (I believe), also account for what your natural style would be, as well as the one you would show under pressure. Meyers-Briggs calls this being "in the grip" and gives you an idea of how your style behaves under stress, vs. others that describe the other style you shift to under stress. I defer to Kamili, I think, who said they were a Psychologist, or others of you who are. I'm not an expert by any means. I can ask my friend, who is, though. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

I caved in when I saw them disappearing. I got a seat on an aisle in the front of section 219. I think it's the closest I could get to the C stage for $96. I hope that stage is on the right side if you face the stage like I thought and isn't blocked by the light poles. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

Secret Santa 2016 ~ A Sleigh Full of Gifts
I hear you, Shreya. I said something like that too in one of the Awards sub-threads. But you have gone so out of your way to provide joy to so many, I still feel you stand out. You seem like a truly sweet person who thrives on bringing happiness to others. As they say, "Others' happiness is its own reward" and that seems to be your motto. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

Draco, now I want to go back and take another look based on your feedback! It is very well-reasoned. My biggest surprise was hearing that Will is self-conscious. That would probably make him more of -T, not -A, like I thought. This 16 Personalities theory holds that the last -letter (A or T) is what underpins the rest of it. I was torn on Chris, because he clearly was much more neurotic in the past, being more self-conscious than self-confident. But now he seems much less wrapped up in what others think, so more "A" than "T". I've never been good on those middle letter combinations like you are either, and this one works a bit differently than the MBTI that I'm used to. Perhaps you and I can PM more about this. I don't want to bore others if this isn't a big interest. Or we can start another thread! Glad someone else finds this stuff so much fun! Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

Getting caught up in the 16 Personalities stuff. Here are my guesses what the band are. I don't know them personally but read Matt's great book and am guessing based on the things I've heard. Chris: ENFP-T Johnny: ESFJ-A Will: ESTP-A Guy: ISFP or ISTP-A Phil: ESTJ-A My wild guesses, Phil's based mostly on role, Guy's on his willingness to challenge Chris, varied interests outside music but uncertain due to collecting fast cars, LOL! Johnny based on steadiness, congeniality, ability to get along with everyone and Will on playing multiple instruments and interest in sports (re-charging around people, like Johhny, and past thrill-seeking behavior). What does everyone else think? Would love to hear things I don't know about them that would suggest different styles. This is fun!! I geek-out on assessments! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
