In Speed of Sound Guy doesn't plays his mini morg, there's background. If you pay attention, even when Guy is playing bass you can hear the backing track. The mini morg is just used in the start of Square One and in the end of White Shadows.

To be honest, some songs could be played on the keyboards, instead of backing track. Ex: Viva la Vida - in Viva la Vida Tour: Chris play keys after Jonny start playing guitar.
