Jay-Z supporting???? Thoughts?? I just think it's wrong - Coldplay should have a guitar based act to support. I very much doubt most fans would enjoy Jay-Z's music.

Yeh Chris will always be coming up with ideas ......he's a song writer, he'll be inspired 24/7. There was this story about how he wrote 'what if' when he couldn't sleep one night. True song writers in a way work 24/7 imo anyway. Its all about inspiration - can come anytime - from anything. I reckon new album end of 2009, followed by Greatest Hits in 2010 (with a glastonbury performance)

As much as I like both songs - does anyone else think that Martin has lately built a song up then lost his way a bit??? These two songs are a prime example. Prospekt builds and builds until it just stops and drifts off.....meanwhile the first part of 42 is pretty much for me the best piece of music the band have ever done......then it just goes into something else i was so disappointed.....it could have been coldplays best song imo.

well there are only really 3 new songs on it - so it ain't that long......just think it was EMI's idea to release this.

I believe they will be doing it in woolworths....

To be honest i reckon EMI pressured them to release this as they haven't been doing so well of late.

there was no need for this ep - could have taken a couple of tracks of vlv and swapped, then use the others for b-sides.
