I'm also looking for shows... any shows really. The better quality the better as well. I've got 3 shows so far I can trade. One from Germany.. a nice acoustic show straight from the soundboard. Another from Boston in 2001 i think.. FM Broadcast. and another from london studios. Maida Vaile 2000. A great soundboard show. let me know!

oops... And to answer if I think it's good or not.. Well of course I think it's excellent for the band. You can't ask for more.. they've had great reviews and great exposure. Now on the other hand, my selfish side wants to have them all to myself and see them in small venues.. but.. that won't happen.

Why have they been gaining popularity lately? Well, I think obviously since their latest cd has been out they've had a lot more media exposure. MTV is playing Clocks, they had their grammy performance, they've performed on vaious late night shows, and they are touring a lot as well. I've also noticed the radio here has been playing more Coldplay. So yeah.. I would say that media exposure has helped them gain popularity.

I'm more than excited about the new material, especially Ladder to the Sun. But let's remember, Coldplay toured with material such as Murder and Animals and it didn't wind up on AROBTTH.. even though it was originally going to be on there. So who knows what'll end up on their next cd. Looks like they keep pumping out great ideas though..

nevermind :) I got the guitar tab book for AROBTTH today and it's perrrrrfect! better than I expected..

good topic! I got mine after hearing Yellow on the radio. It was my favorite song but I liked it enough for me to download some songs off the internet. I remember really liking Don't Panic... so I went to the store and saw that Billboard said it was one of the best albums of the year so I said, "what the hell?" I haven't stopped listening to it since.

ehhhh Neh.. I'd have to disagree. I could see where you are coming from, especially if you are just taking into account Parachutes.. but no. Did you get this idea from one of those interviews that have been circulating for a while? I forget which one it is.. but... they also say it is "Nu" senativity.. whatever "Nu" is.

Anyone seen Clone High on MTV? I think it's hilarious... very refreshingly different. 3 South was a cartoon on Comedy Central. I havent seen it on there lately but it was also great.

Before AROBTTH came out, I made a point not to download the songs off the internet so I would be surprised to what I heard. As soon as I bought the cd and put it in my cd player.... Right when Politik started with it's "bang bang bang bang" I did have a tear in my eye.. It was a "holy crap this is awesome" tear. I was so happy to finally get the cd that I had a tear in my eye.

I'm with Ginger... no way I could pick 2.... kill me first :)

Man.. I thought it was a great show. I need to watch it again and maybe I'll think differently. Plus they won 2 Grammy's...

jonny's guitar Jonny's guitar parts at the beginning of the chorus always reminded me of Chris Issak's Wicked Game. I don't know why.. I guess it's the way the guitar sounds ... Both sound so laid back and relaxing.. very cool.

guitar book The PVG book is excellent for piano, yes. But the guitar parts are off. They guitar parts have the same "sound," but are definitely not the exact guitar notes. It is especially evident in God Put a Smile On Your Face. Chris uses some really awkward tunings in that song and the book has it as regular. But the PVG book is still good for piano. I learned the Scientist on it... mmmmmm..
