Coldplayers! I have gotten a key element in contacting Chris!
Are we allowed to know what the contents of this mysterious letter were? What you asked for, what you said or wanted to know? Because, all the power to you from one fan to another, and I hope you get your reply.... ...but what does this have to do with us Coldplay fans? If you want to share the experience, please let us know what you asked for and we can look forward to it as a community :) Otherwise, it kind of just sounds like bragging

Viva La Vida Medley (UPDATED: The March on Violet Hill))
Sorry I was away! I've been looking forward to this but let me break it down :) - I really like what you did with Christmas Lights, the orchestra (or whatever it is) makes it sound like its from a movie soundtrack. And I like the singing but I think it needs to be redone EDIT: The singing needs to be redone I mean, its hard to understand - LOVE A Spell A Rebel Yell & the remixed Goldrush! But the singing doesn't really fit it on Goldrush. I don't mean it in a bad way, I just don't really know how else to say it  - LOVE Postcards From Far Away!! Especially the intro! Is that a Coldplay song in the intro??? - Ummmmm, Solid Ground I didn't like so much. It doesn't help that Coldplay doesn't have an original to compare to but the singing just sounded....not good. I'm sorry :( - And I didn't like Chinese Sleep Chant and Fall of Man for ONE reason: too short! Its such a great sound, any chance you can send me an mp3 of just Chinese sleep chant extended?? Pretty please?? ;) - Love the outro but it doesn't really sound liek St Stephen. I like how you keep using the Viva La Vida and Life in Technicolor melodies. I'm sorry, I really really liked it and its going on my ipod! But the singing needs a lot of work! Don't stop trying though! :) And I'm looking forward to the next parts! Where is Violet Hill and Glass of Water and D&AHF! Can't wait! Keep up the great work :)

The VLVODAAHF / AROBTTH Army.
Why? Why must we decide! I love them all. Parachutes is beautiful in its indie polish, sparkling guitars and loose thumping drum kicks. It was the sound of a band coming to life. A Rush of Blood to the Head was a launch, a whole album drenched in a deep evening blue. Scientist, Clocks, Amsterdam, Politik....it was the sound of a band that had discovered its sound. And revelled in it. X&Y was a band turned upside down, but the wheels still spinning. What if, X&Y, Talk...the sound was there, the melodies were there but it never amounted to more than the sum of its parts and to me that's what it will always be: a great collection of songs, not a great album. But its gave us A Message. It gave us Kingdom Come. It gave us Fix You. And most importantly, it gave us a band desperate to risk it all. Parachutes with its yellows, greys and oranges, AROBTTH with its array of blues and blacks, X&Y with its lego-block red/yellow/blue contrasts....and then Viva la Vida. Viva was an album that brought a stunning composition of colours splashed across an empty canvas. It was epic in its scope, singular in its vision and diverse in its execution. From the muddy parkways of a stormy london, to the rush of Tokyo streets, from the oppressive, deserted alleys of Violet Hill, to the pathos of Viva la Vida's cathedral halls. It was a band that had crawled out of its own revolution...and reborn. From paintings and brushstrokes to spraycans and graffiti, Mylo Xyloto was a band launched into the future. Replacing impressionistic revolutionaries with street-wise rebels, its the story of a dystopia lit with fluorescent lights and neon streaks and two lovers struggling to hold on. But its also the story of a band, having newly relit itself, exploding like fireworks in the sky. How can you pick just one?! Don't you see? Its TOGETHER that they make something incredible! There would be no Charlie Brown without Politik, no 42 without What if, no Speed of Sound without Shiver, No Scientist without Trouble. Each album is a step forward, and you don't admire the steps, you admire the run! ...but alright. If i HAD to pick, it would be Mylo Xyloto. It may not be as engaging or as diverse as previous work...but its far more hopeful, optimistic and encouraging. I'll be in your army, sir. But my medals are all in neon colours :smug:

WE'VE FOUND THE BAKERY!! *NOW WITH PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF* UPDATED FIRST POST!*
Ummmmm I totally share your excitement for coldplay and everything and I love how much you love them.... ...but anyone else think this is just not a good idea? I mean, rule number 1 for being a fan of anyone is to respect their wishes. If they wanted fans popping around for visits, they would probably advertise their studio address. I mean, if you're going to pop by and say you love them or give them something, they will probably be surprised and flattered at first but you won't have made their day with them walking around feeling good about themselves. Instead, they'll be rattled and upset that their happy little private existence is at risk. I think we should just respect and admire them from afar. Chris is always going on about how much he loves that he can have a private life and live quietly and turn his rock star on/off...I think as his fans, that's something we can give them and its a better gift than some kind of totem or letter. I'm just not sure this is a good idea to be advertising something they want kept secret. It seems disrespectful and hurtful. Let them be happy in their own world and make great music, no?

Is Charlie Brown THE BEST Coldplay song...EVER??
Yes, yes it is. That answers that. We can close this thread now. Seriously though, it is my favourite song ever. Its not about being catchy and energetic (which it is), its about texture and atmosphere and how they make this whole world in the song. Even without the video, it gives me a sense of streaks of flashing lights and an exciting escape into adventure. Its about living life with a sense of recklessness and abandon and what's the more amazing part about it?? The opening and buzz and din? The explosive optimism? For me its the tranquil ending. Its sounds so fragile, warm and tender. As if the two lovers have found their paradise at least and each knows how important it is because of what they've gone through. Viva la vida was about remembering your rise while you fall, Politik was about breaking out of the confines of society to appeal to true love, yellow was about trying to tell someone what they mean to you and Clocks was about.....actually I have no idea what clocks was about. But that's why CB wins it for me. Its about having the courage to lose everything you ever had to find out what's on the other side. Living life passionately but dangerously. And live....nothing compares to it. They found their 'streets have no name'

Hi Coldplayers!....erplaying....Co.....hi everyone :)
Long version of my introduction: Thought I'd introduce myself before jumping in and bugging you! And oh, I will bug you ;) My name's Raven but I've forced everyone to call me Mylo now because I absolutely love that album! I've been a Coldplay fan since Parachutes, and whether or not you love these guys, you have to admit they make the best videos! LIT2, Charlie Brown, Trouble, Scientist! Love it! I think this is the biggest coldplay fansite on the net and so where else would I be?? Favourite coldplay song: Charlie Brown and Everything's Not Lost Favourite members: Chris and Jonny! Favourite video: Charlie Brown of course! Aaaaaand finally! I have no time for people who think coldplay used to be great or used to be amazing or have 'sold out' or lost their sound. I loved them from the start and I'm not a blind fan. I didn't much care for x&y although it had some great tracks, but even then I could appreciate a band who tries something new rather then sits in one sound regurgitating the same old thing. I'm a diehard fan, i know all their best work and have been to most of their shows and i STILL think MyloXyloto is their best album to date. Which is why they're my favourite band: only thing more exciting than one they're doing now is what they're gonna do next! Short version: Hi :)
