Again, I think is similar, but to think they are the same or he´s the only one who has come out with the idea (and chords) before is kinda narcissist :-p

Satchfan: Even if I do find a little scary that people here say they don’t know Satriani (I mean, if you like music, seriously!), first of all not everybody has the obligation to know each and every artist that has come out, specially if you don’t like music without lyrics, as is almost all the music made by Satriani. However, what I do find would match the behavior of a 14 year old person (those that you say are Coldplay fans) is to come to a forum that well, is about Coldplay, as it says in the title and to try to pick up a fight with people that obviously, doh! are fans of Coldplay by "defending" Satch. I think everybody is welcome here, or at least I have felt it that way in the 4 years I have been around and discussions among things are always expected and is nice to hear many opinions that can complement or change yours but I dont really think anybody here needs you to come and enlighten us with your knowledge about how Coldplay are the worst pop ever. Maybe they are, but we like it and music is no about good music or bad music, is about music you like and music you dont, as simple as that. The parameters of beauty depend on the people who´s listening or watching or whatever and therefore you have to respect other tastes as the others should respect yours. What I´m trying to say is if you came here just to pick up a fight, you probably should save your breath and your time and go to the Satriani´s forum to speak about ill about Coldplay instead of being here, cause the only thing you are going to get here is, well, contempt. And I dont want to be rude or anything, you maybe came here to join the community and are having some fun by making people get mad but, seriously?! Ok. About Coldplay... I think they do sound similar, but there are rules for the demands about copyright issues and none of them says: your song cant be similar to the other artists' songs!!! I heard them both at the same time and there are some similar chords but not complete riffs. And I think Satriani is every respected musician for obvious reasons and he decided to put a demand because he obviously thinks there is something fishy here but, my question is, why after Coldplay was nominated for 7 Grammys? Is not like nobody had heard the song (I mean it sounds even in the damn bathrooms!!) I have heard it everywhere and I don’t hear radio at all so.. Till now? Why? And is fishy also that another band also said Coldplay stole the SAME SONG to them.. so, who STOLE who? why Coldplay wasn’t demanded for I dont know, "Yes" or "Cementeries of London", why the most popular song of the year? Now we can’t lose perspective here. Satriani is A HUGE guitar player and plagiarism as occurred before. I just hope I’m right and they are just similar but if that’s the case, I will definitely lose all the respect I had for Satriani and if Coldplay really stole the riff, well, same goes for Coldplay...

I´m not good at anything related with craft, hand made things and stuff :embarassed:,so I decided to include one of my pics. I didnt really thought about it, I was just proud of the one I choose cause is probably my best pic ever, but thinking about it I feel it very related with the whole viva la vida thing. :stunned: Are you serious? cause then Ian lied to us and he´s the big boss here! :P A while ago, in the interpol thread of the music section somebody posted the link to the leaked new album and Berrywoman erased it, then we said, but there´s a lot of albums in the multimedia section?!! So, she consulted with Ian and he said we were allowed but only in the multimedia section... so you see, that has to be private, or it was private the last time I cheked... :P oh and thanks for the idea of laminated postacards. I really wanted to look like a real postcard but then I see it seems no possible...:(

I think some threads can be made as "just for members" by Ian or any of hte administrators or moderators.. but I didnt know there were also members of another communities! again, if somebody can help me with how to print the postcard without have to glue it, I will say thanks a lot! hehe

I was wondering, is there a way to make sure that only the poeple who´s gonna send their cards has access to the p.o. box address? Cause some people might fall into the temptation to send something else, not that is wrong, but it will probably go a little bit against the spirit of the project... I have no idea what to write on my postcards!! Also I did my first proof printing and I have 2 problems. First, as the back ofthe postcard (the official one) is white, when printed there´s no borders and is kinda difficult to cut. 2. Does somebody knows a program where I can join the front of the back so when send to print it appears in exactly the same space in the front and back of the page so I dont have to glue them? cause right now I have no idea how to do it. 3. My first prints are way bigger than the actual postcard :-P but well, that´s why I did first a proof...

I will print my card today, and the logos, I already bought the other one like 3 weeks ago but I havent put anything on them cause I have no idea what to write... as usual, I will leave the preasure to inspire me.. :-P

^^ haha, indeed... you are soo innocent and spoiled by your post service... bless your heart... :-P I have lost like a hundred of dollars in things that were sent by me and sent to me and when I have gone to the postal office to ask for it, they basically say: Tell me the number of the register please... Me: I dont have it, It was sent through the regular air mail service They: then I can´t do nothing, sorry... ME: But they are importnat and expensive stuff!! They: **roll eyes** Why didnt you send them registered? Me: Cause is expensive! THey: We can do nothing then... ME: *curses the heaven and the stupidity of the mexican post service** So you see, is hast to be registered or registered, hahah... seriously, is the only way, at least in Mexico...

oh by the way,I´m going to ask to my postal office if transparent envelopes are allowed, I think it would be better if they are in transparent envelopes right?

^^ I think we will know on nov 21 :-) I see that envelopes are approbed but not encouraged though this is my idea: Since we would only have one month to send this and the mail services in our third world countries suck, I will send mine as registered/insurance mail which is more expensive but more secure and I think it reaches England in a couple of weeks but I dont think they allow postcards as registered/insurance. SO I was thinking on puttting both of them in an envelope but to print the logo of the project somewhere in the envelope to point out this is part of the proyect even though it doesnt look like a postcard itself. And that ´s my suggestion for all those who live in third world countries especially in Mexico, to send it as registered/insurance. It will be a couple of dollars extra but believeme, there are more chances for this to reach England in time and actually to go there... is that ok? what do you think about the idea?

Im mexican and I´ll be happy to send mines to any coldplaying buddy avaliable :-P maybe a poll for all the foreigners to know how many we are here? then it would be easier to know how many buddies we need... Lore: You can also go to this places when you can get paper and office articles: in mexico we have officemax and office deppot. and you can print it there! Is not specially cheap but they print it in amazing quality and have many kind of papers and cardboards for you to choose, so is eaiser than doing it at home... I think hehe..

- I think the template that Pris did is the more complete Now, two things are important: - First, I Think if you want for this to reach the guys on time for the holidays, and you must to consider they wont be probably in their office at the end of the year so it has to arrive before the start of the holidays, we have to set a date as soon as possible because letters from other parts of the world, or in Mexico at least, take a month or even more to reach Europe. I asssume there´s the same problem with australians and japanese and chinese people so... the clock is clicking!!! Maybe we could set a date for country, I mean, calculating times, the mexicans have to send their postcard this day, the australians this day. I know is probably more complicated but maybe necessary. -TWO: the problem with postcards is that is easy for them to be lost on the mail (trust me! I live in Mexico and have the shittest post service ever!), so, maybe we could send them inside of a nice envelope with some template as well, so they all look the same and the guys know is part of the proyect but we can ensure they dont get lost in their way to the boys... -Also, that´s a lovely letter!! I was thinking that it would be better than, once we have everything settle about hte proyect, we would send the letter in email to debs or soembody who can deliver it to them. Because it might get lost in the email, or arrive later than the postcards and it will ruin the effect. Ok just throwing ideas here, hehe..

About the address... well, maybe Debs can provide an official address were we can send the postcards to them, asking her if she could see that the cards are actually delivered as they are from all the members of the forum or something... Exactly, the problem with the women on fashion that use fur is that they set a trend, and if there´s somebody who will buy that shit, there will be somebody who will sell it and therefore killl the animals for it. Nos, is not true that there´s a difference between the kill of an animal that will become food and the one that will become fur. Both are normally painfull in standard bases. For example, in USA they kill the chickens by throwing them against walls or they beat them with sticks. I think the difference here is that we need the animals to survive (no matter how sad I´m about knowing how they kill them I have tried to be a vegetarian but I just can´t, so I have to live with that blame :embarassed:) and to kill them to use them as "luxurious" clothes. THe second is an innecessary death and is part of this stupidity of being a star or being famous just for your "fashion style". And is actually a bad thing that Gwyneth sponsors such a criminals, although I think she´s just trying to put her career back on track. What I do not understand is that she´s a vegetarian and she still wears fur, also that Chris actually doesnt care about this. He seems to have the brain in the right place but well, is her career and her choices.. Sad thing though, I really lost a little bit my respect for her, cause she seems nice, she´s a good actreess and seems to be an inteligent woman.. :\
