ye im teaching myself - i just ordered guitar for dummies as well lol

i would make them appear as more of a band to the public rather than chris taking the spotlight most of the time - although this might not really be his fault

ok i bought a guitar- but wen i play the only chord i know so far - G major - the bottom E and high E strings at either end dont really play properly - like wen i strum they dont move. is this a bad guitar or is just me? i also kinda have some unwanted vibration type noises . should i change guitar or is it because im still learning and its my first day lol.

ok ive decided to get an acoustic guitar - and am allowed to spend within £100. what's the best acoustic that much money can buy?

if i learned to play either acoustic or electric guitar- would i automaticaly be able to play the other type of guitar?

is there an advantage of learning on an acoustic rather than electric then?

ye i play the piano to a pretty high level - grade 7 - but i think that the way you read guitar music is different isnt it?

if i didnt get a teacher at all though would i still be able to learn well?

ok heres the deal - im thinking of buying a guitar but if i did i wouldnt have a teacher but would try and learn from books and stuff. is this recommended? and how long would it take for me to become any good at playing - like how long would it be before i could play anything by coldplay any help would be much appreciated

i just realised summat- i think the nominations may have come from the readers of nme etc. rather than the actual people that write it - so i guess its the readers that are tosspots (not all of them mind u lol)

wow it looks like theres quite a few ppl from here going! what time will everyone be queuing up?

ok so 7 days to go and i so cannot wait for this concert! the only problem is the morning after i'm going on holiday and so won't be able to see other peoples' opinions, pictures, bootlegs etc. I would really appreciate that anything to do with this concert would go into this thread so that when i come back i can catch up and relive the whole thing :) anyway is anyone else here going to the concert? i sure hope so otherwise this threads gonna be empty!
