In response of Keane being the new Coldplay: Yup, I agree with you too. Coldplay is definately a great band but alot of it has been heard before with Radiohead. Radiohead has beautiful songs that can be directly compared to Coldplay (once again, not a bad thing). But Keane has it's own place that has its own sound. Keane's debut album is a roller coaster of emotion while Parachutes is more flat-lined. Keane is pure magic and can't wait until I see them again Live, nor the next album. Again, Keane is not the next Coldplay....Keane is Keane and better in alot of respects. ;) But that's just me.

New Coldplay? There can only be 1 Coldplay, there can only be 1 Keane...Overall. Pound 4 pound here Is what I see.... I'll take Keane's first album over Parachutes ANY day.

I have had my heart broken and it's one of the worst feelings to endure. I still think of that person on a weekly basis and gave in to the fact that it's a part of my life I won't ever forget But all this heart breaking makes us all stronger. You have to break before being wiser and less susceptible to falling again. Hope your heart mends quickly Joyce.

Thank you everybody. Guess I was in a morbid mood when I typed out the thread. I'm 29 so simply having "fun" with girls is not my thing. I want a love that consumes me fully. Not that I'm anxiously looking because I'm happy alone. Anyway...gotta love love?

I have been friends with her for about 2 years. We got to be close friends in that time and I sensed she was becoming attached. I had to tell her last night that I only want a friendship. She cried and I felt extremely bad as I hate hurting any of my friends. Thing is...when everything first started, I was the one that liked her but she was in relationship, they broke up. She began having feelings towards me, but by then enough time went by, I knew our chemistry wasn't there so I wasn't interested in anything romantic. Seeing her cry and knowing her pain (because I have been there) makes me feel horrible. I wish there was something I can do to make things better but I won't lie to her Now it seems our friendship will burn out, and I feel like its all my fault. I guess I learned to be REALLY SURE about the person you want. Thanks for reading.

Saw them in concert last night in San Diego, California and I was completely blown away. His Voice is crystal clear and powerful. The place erupted not only because its Keane, but the way Tom spread his energy across the stage was amazing. He started the concert with "Everybody is Changing" and ended with B-Shapen". Overall, it was a rollercoaster of emotion. Unique sound, can't wait for a second album!

I like this version Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

Keane is Number 1 in the UK. There's a new champion.

Keane - Hopes and Fears

Agreed. Although there will only be 1 Coldplay, Keane has the power to move you like Coldplay does. In fact, Some of Keane's songs are more heart-felt and a bit more emotional. Keane having no guitars in the mix, makes more for an original sound right off the bat. Top to bottom its hard to say which is the better album "Parachutes" or "Hopes and Fears", but they are both great. It's an accomplishment when Keane's new album can shine as much as Coldplay's first. But that's just me.
