  1. my two friends went, i wasn't in town so I couldn't go. If you watch the performace of Violet Hill on jimmy kimmel, at the end you'll see him drop his pick to fingerpick. I got that pick :) my friend's stepdad is a soundguy on the show and he went up there and grabbed the sticks and the pick, gave them to my friend and my friend gave em to me. I'm very happy. yay for me.
  2. no problemo
  3. hey, i figured a possible "Low" rhythm that i would say is pretty close to the real thing. i've listen to the live and studio version and i just figured out a knack for the rhythm. kapone, if you have any comments or corrections please do. Low Rhythm (assuming you know the strumming pattern. it's cut short, maybe use a muting effect with your palm) and it's standard tuning VERSE 0-7-5-0-0-0 5-7-0-0-0-0 7-9-0-9-0-0 8-10-0-9-0-0 5-7-0-6-0-0 0-2-2-0-0-0 0-2-2-4-0-0 <<< ending part going into the chorus CHORUS 8-10-10-9-0-0 5-7-0-7-0-0 0-2-2-0-3-0 5-7-7-6-0-0 i'd say the ending part is G and A..something of that sort. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- and here's Moses Rhythm just in case no one got it. tuning: EADGAE and CAPO on 2ND fret VERSE X-0-2-2-0-0 0-2-2-0-0-0 0 2 3 0 5-5-4-0-0-0 CHORUS 3-3-2-0-0-0 5-5-4-0-0-0 that's pretty much it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- and just in case anyone wanted "One I Love" NO CAPO and it goes like this. tuning :EADGAE (same as Moses) ONE I LOVE INTRO 0-0-2-2-0-0 3-3-2-0-0-0 3-2-0-0-0-0 5-5-4-0-0-0 VERSE 0-0-2-2-0-0 3-0-2-2-0-0 2-0-2-2-0-0 0-0-2-2-0-0 CHORUS IS SAME AS INTRO END 1-3-3-2-0-0 0-2-2-0-0-0 0-0-2-2-0-0 --------------------------------------------------- and i have a tab for "I Ran Away." it sounds right to me so make with it what you will. tuning: E-A-D-G-C#-E VERSE 9-11-11-X-0-0 X-6-6-4-0-0 5-7-7-6-0-0 X-6-6-4-0-0 CHORUS 0-2-2-1-0-0 2-4-4-3-0-0 10-12-12-11-0-0 5-7-7-6-0-0 BRIDGE (it's piano but here's what i came up with for guitar) X-4-6-6-0-0 5-7-7-6-0-0 0-2-2-1-0-0 7-9-9-8-0-0 ----------------------------------------------------------------- and the early demo version of "Talk" which is my fav. it is standard tuning with a CAPO on the third fret. VERSE 0-0-2-2-1-0 3-3-2-0-1-0 0-2-2-0-0-0 5-5-4-0-0-0 i'm not really sure about the chorus. i suppose some of those chords above could be used. but yeah, there's some of it for ya.
  4. 1. one i love (live) 2. moses 3. warning sign 4. green eyes 5. a message 6. shiver 7. swallowed in the sea 8. square one 9. til kingdom come 10. we never change 11. talk 12. amsterdam 13. the scientist /////////////////////////////////////////////////////// here's an album that i would assemble with non-album coldplay songs cause they're amazing 1. i ran away 2. murder 3. i bloom blaum 4. careful where you stand 5. see you soon 6. one i love (studio) 7. talk (early version) 8. brothers and sisters (early version) 9. easy to please 10. ladder to the sun 11. gravity 12. help is around the corner 13. Songbird (live oasis cover)
  5. i can't wait to hear it. the album version is amazing
  6. from what i've noticed in all the songs i listened by them (which is pretty much all of them), chris talks a lot about making the future better, about love, about being saved and being in pain. i love the lyrics because even though they're simple, i love how they can pulsate the emotions strongly within you using easy ways of saying it. the ambient, heartfelt music is usually the support to give the words the ride into your head using color, heart, and soul. i have noticed that...that the music impacts, emphasizes, and syncs which results in a powerful, emotional delivery of beautiful music. and in "Fix You" when he says "lights will guide you home", he is basically saying if you believe in hope, that hope (being light) will guide you home. it's a metaphor.
  7. yeah, i dig his jackets a lot. i love how the whole band dresses in cool, black blazers and jackets n such
  8. now everyone knows there are two versions of "talk." as much as i love the official album version, i love the early draft of it. it seems more surreal to me and i think it would've been really cool if they played the early version live. it would've been great.
  9. yeah, "a message" is amazing. i wanna see chris dance and sing to that song, it would be a great experience. i love "til' kingdom come" and i'm not sure if they've been playing "twisted logic" or not but i'd rather have "a message" than that. when i see them, they have to play it, it's my favorite song off that album.
  10. aha. yeah, he's spoken to me in my dreams and fantasies
  11. hm, well then i'd still love to hear it but i'll probably dig the live version more just because it's grown on me so much. but im sure the studio version has it perks, as most coldplay studio songs do :)
  12. i would love to hear "your world turned upside down" an "solid ground" very much but personally, i don't think they should make "moses" a single. the official live recording is amazing and i think if they made a studio version that it would kill the passion and raw affection that the live one carries. it's an "in the moment" kind of song to me, and i feel that it should be kept that way and that it shouldn't be picked and panned to perfection.
  13. moses not sure if anyone tabbed it out this way but here's "moses" tuning: EADGAE CAPO ON SECOND FRET X-0-2-2-0-0 0-2-2-0-0-0 and then with that chord he transitions with the bottom E string like this: 0 2 3 0 into this 5-5-4-0-0-0 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ those are the verse chords ___________________________ 3-3-2-0-0-0 5-5-4-0-0-0 those are the chorus chords (listen to the song to know when to use them. it's super easy) i'll be posting more soon
  14. one i love here's "one i love" (not sure if anyone else tabbed it like this) tuning: EADGAE he strikes the open strings to start up the song. then it goes as follows X-0-2-2-0-0 3-3-2-0-0-0 3-2-0-0-0-0 5-5-4-0-0-0 ^^^^^^^^ those are the chorus chords. ____________________________ X-0-2-2-0-0 3-0-2-2-0-0 2-0-2-2-0-0 0-0-2-2-0-0 ^^^^^^ those are the verse tabs (listen to the song to know when to hit the bottom E string.)
  15. i have "i ran away" tabbed perfectly. 9-11-11-9-X-0 X-6-6-4-0-0 5-7-7-6-0-0 ^^^^ those are the verse chords __________________________________ O-2-2-1-0-0 2-4-4-3-0-0 10-12-12-11-0-0 5-7-7-6-0-0 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ those are the chorus chords. ill be puttin more
