Eugh..I hate it when people say things like that as a statement of truth. Shady, Coldplay's strong point is their music ability to you. To others (like myself) the lyrics are nothing less than remarkable. Just had to let that out. :D

:o How did you get into Coldplay if you don't pay attention to lyrics in the first place, though? Their music is to be understood, not just listened to. I think, anyway. Twisted Logic, Low, White Shadows, Fix You, Square One...all have amazing melodies. We often miss things with Coldplay for some reason, just give them time and more listens ;)

Fix You is more like Amsterdam, if you need a comparison.

MTV plays a clip of SoS most times when one of their shows finishes too. The only time they actually play music is late at night so that's when you can catch video.

Thom is greater than Chris? In what aspect?... I think Chris is much greater popularity wise, especially since he married Gwyneth and had a child. He's also better than Thom because he's all for making trade fair and promotes Oxfam! I don't know much about Thom, but it seem like he has this bigheaded-ness (I love inventing words) of when too many people praise you. It sucks that he doesn't even acknowledge Chris despite him saying how much he looks up to him. Go Chris! lol :D :P

Ah *phew*...was starting to think you mislead everyone reading about Coldplay in Wiki! Really hope the album is not divided like the disc shows, that's just confusing. Hey SuchARush I'm looking at the coldplay stuff in wikipedia now and it looks really good, lotsa props to you if you did most of it!

I think Chris means that the album is just a mixture of pessimism and optimism, or opposing forces, or just "opposites". But it's a mixture, the songs can't be divided up because it makes no sense then, at least according to the order that they're in.

Hmmm...I read that NME article and you really jumped the gun there. Chris says X&Y is a mixture of optimism and pessimism, but it doesn't mean that the album is divided as such. :/

Ooh...I'd like to believe that! But that paragraph was all about things you may or may not know about the band and it'd be really stupid if he screwed that up. I doubt it. I think I'll go with the poster that said the kid was probably his wife's and now his. But they were childhood friends so...didn't think that would be the case. *Sigh!* Makes me wonder if Will also has a kid hidden somewhere.

Keep in mind that MTV doesn't play music anymore ;) It's all reality shows. (With a few exceptions, TRL being one of them but that crap is horrid)

They come out all the time in VH1. I have like 3 VH1's, and they come on a lot on the alternative one. If they don't come out on tv much is because they didn't have new material for a long time. Now they should be appearing a lot more.

That's the one. It's not really part of the album though.

Speed of Sound is an awesome song....only I've overheard it so now it's crap. It'll come back and be the best thing since the internet in time, I'm sure :D
