  1. Don't Panic should be in there. but i pick Rush of Blood. maybe favorite song ever...connected with it in a way i cant describe. right place, right time i guess
  2. I can't express how mad i am about them getting 'snubbed' like this, out of the major nominations. i normally could care less about awards or awards shows, but i want Coldplay to be publicly recognized for making such a great album, and when they snub Coldplay seemingly just for the sake of spite, i take it personally. i think it was Chris Martin's own mouth that did them in though. all his talk about wanting to be the next U2, i think that's the only reason they gave so many major nominations to U2, because i really dont think it was much of an album, especially compared to X&Y. that's the only explanation i can think of anyway
  3. specifically for the Sacramento show. how much do floor tickets cost? and how many can you buy at once? i heard that it was only 4, and i have a group of 6 people that are going with me, so will they have to buy seperate tickets? and if so, if its for floor, will we still be able to all sit with each other, or are the floor tickets broken up into sections?
  4. yup, considering both those songs are considerably better than Poor Me and World Turned Upside Down, in my opinion. Proof and Things I Dont Understand too for that matter.
  5. yeah, i can't believe it took a whole page for someone to figure that out, i got it right away when i saw it. funny movie by the way
  6. "The temptation with this one is to be really pernickety. Pull it apart line by line. Scoff loudly at those who think it will make Coldplay the next U2. Make cruel jokes at the expense of Chris Martin and his missus - she's famous you know - who undoubtedly figures in the lyrics somewhere. Try to dash the hopes of those record company shareholders whose dividends are riding on this selling a couple of million by next week, not to mention those in the butane industry hoping a new batch of Coldplay ballads will cause an upturn in global ciggy-lighter fuel consumption. That sort of thing." Right there, that's exactly what some of these reviewers, RS in particular, are trying to do. They're those snobby uptight music 'critics' that scoff at the idea of a band like Coldplay becoming the next U2, so they find any way to try and take them down a notch, wether deserved or not.
  7. he critisizes Chris for being neurotic and constantly positive or negative..........but does the same thing in his review.
  8. can someone scan this article then yet? its been out for a while, im sure someone could have it scanned. i really wanna read it
  9. yeah, i asked the question, and i think it's probably The Hardest Part. or Fix You or 'Till Kingdom Come maybe. i dont think its Low, because i've heard that's supposed to be a heavier and faster track, like Shiver. and Solid Ground definitely wasnt like that in the live version, unless they changed it dramatically. i dont think its gonna be a b-side, because since she said we'd find out when we hear the album, it seems like its just a subtle way of saying that yes, it's going to be on the album. also yeah, why is the q&a gone?
  10. so now that we think we know what the artwork means, do you think there's anything else to it? do you think there's more meaning behind it than just code language, or perhaps that there are multiple meanings to the artwork, and we've only just uncovered one layer of it? or is this it, the mystery stops here, and its merely the album title in pretty looking coded squares? i personally would like to think there's more to it than that, just because i like the mystery of it.
  11. in most of the new material there seems to be a recurring theme of space and the ocean. any ideas on the significance of this, if any? i've been thinking that these references are intentional, and are a play on the idea of X&Y. space is kind of the polar opposite of the sea, like X and Y. Also, Chris said X&Y is a cooler way of saying ying and yang, or hope and despair. well, they both make up a sort of symbolic ying and yang if you think about it; the space being above us, and the sea below us. space could represent hope, because we look to the sky or horizon when we're thinking about our future and having hope or whatever. the sea could represent despair because people can get lost in the sea, thus the title 'Swallowed In The Sea'. or maybe they're just cool things to write lyrics about.
