Done! Tickets are in the bag. 9 months is a long wait (do I sound like an expectant father? :)), but then, I've already waited almost 3 and a half years, so...

The pre-sale postponed? Weird. Well, at least it wasn't sold out in 15 minutes this time. As the Goffert is bigger again than the Gelredome, this would nicely fit into the progression in size of the venues I've seen them in. :)

Kan me herinneren dat er vorige keer een speciale presale link beschikbaar was waardoor je al enkele dagen voor de officiele voorverkoop startdatum via ticketmaster kaartjes kon bestellen. Iemand iets bekend van of dat deze keer weer zo is? Hoe dan ook, het is al weer veel te lang geleden! :)

The opening bars of Politik, when I saw the Boys in Amsterdam prior to the release of A Rush of Blood. Also, the realisation that I'm getting old when I was in the front row and surrounded by teenagers at the Rotterdam concert later that year. :)

No Dutch gig yet, so I guess I'll have to go to Australia then. :D

Wij kwamen om half acht ('s avonds!) aan, en stonden precies voor de ingang geparkeerd: loont toch nog om (te) laat te komen! :) Het was in ieder geval een fantastisch concert, misschien wel het beste dat ik van ze gezien heb. Ik denk dat dat mede te maken had met de engelse "wij laten ons niet uit het veld slaan" mentaliteit als reactie op de vreselijke gebeurtenissen in London in de ochtend. Het geluid was ook verrassend goed, gezien het feit dat het een stadion was. Richard Ashcroft vond ik trouwens ook erg goed!

Here we have one of the most genuine, spontaneous, involved, and down-to-earth artists in the business today, and still you're complaining. Some of you are hard to please...

Neither do I. There were some skips but that might be because I was playing the single in my car and I hit a few bumps. :) I do like the news songs, especially the lovely Proof :D. SoS does sound quite similar to Clocks, though. When I first played it, I thought it was an alternate mix of Clocks...

There's nothing dumb about it. The Plato (a small chain of music stores in the Netherlands) often has albums out a few days before the official release date, too, and they do it on purpose. Either way, it suits me fine. :) Rel, who'll raid a Plato first thing tomorrow

Have you noticed that it says "Speed of Sound [CD 2]"? (emphasis mine). And then CD 1 is supposed to come out three weeks later? Yeah, right. It's an error. Amazon lesson #17: Don't trust Amazon release dates. Ever. :)

I received my tickets for the Arnhem gig in the mail yesterday! Woohoo! It was a lot of hassle getting them, but I'm sure it's going to be worth it in the end. Now all that's left is counting down to July 7th. 100 days to go...

Such a scheme would be interesting...if it was in Vredenburg. :)

I don't find it hard at all. I have no wish to listen to an unfinished product, which is what a downloaded collection of songs will always be.
