  1. Tony Clement had good seats, he was in the centre section like 5th row 200s.
  2. And they said all day today on 102.1 they were going to replay some songs from last nights show.
  3. HOLY CRAP it was amazing :D
  4. Here will be my long detailed review because Laura requested long ones. I got the Ontario Place with my friends at 5:00ish hoping that the park would be open but it was closed :( So we walked around and grabbed some food to eat. My two friends had lawn seats and I was sitting in 200s with Sean (he's from the other board). So I met up with Sean at 6:30 and we were just standing there talking in front of the gates when Tony Clement, our health minister walks by! This man. We proceeded to go to our seats and I was pleasantly surprised with how close they were. This was a much better improvement than my 28th row seats at the ACC last Septemeber. I was 17th row after the general admission area. We waited for a bit then Eisley came on, and I liked them. My other friends thought they were annoying but I really liked them. Then Ron Sexsmith came on and I didn't like him at all. Lots of people in the audience were really excited for him. And the last song he performed was Gold in Them Hills and I was hoping so badly that Chris would come on stage. I was thinking Ron Sexsmith is from Toronto so Chris HAS to come on, and HE DID. That was really cool. Then I noticed that Molly and Cindy from the other board were sitting a few rows ahead of us so we chatted with them for a bit. Then Sean took me to meet Grace and Mel from the other board as well. It was lots of message board people in one night. And sometime in the evening I bought a poster and a shirt, and now I see the shirt is too big but I'll try and shrink it. The people sitting around us weren't so bad, I've had worse experiences with loud drunk people being rude and annoying but for this show it was good. Then at 9:30 the boys came on stage with Politik and I started to get teary then. I was thinking oh god if I'm about to cry now and it's just Politik what am I going to do later on? I was really overwhelmed, I was so happy so see them again, and so happy that I could see well, and so happy that the people around me were real fans and really into it and just a million other things. The boys were really into the show and the crowd was amazing and so into it and singing along. Coldplay seems to really love it when the crowd responds really well to them. Chris was amusing as always. He said something about how they didn't cancel the show because of SARS, which I'm so glad they didn't. And Ozzy Osbourne had a show in Toronto last night at another venue and Chris made some joke about how we all thought we were going to Ozzfest but we ended up at the wrong place and now we are stuck with Coldplay  He was jumping around and doing his piano humping very well :D One of the highlights was when they performed Moses. It was MUCH better than the mp3 that I have. They've changed some of the words and stuff and it was unbelievable. I hope somebody recorded the show that was in the audience for the songs that didn't air on the radio.' Everything's Not Lost was another good moment because they got the audience to sing it and it was just magical. They also performed Your World Turns Upside down which I had only heard a few times before the show so I wasn't so familiar with it but it was excellent. When they came on with Yellow the crowd went wild. The lighting really adds to the show. Everyone in the audience was so happy and singing along and moving about. Then The Scientist came on and I almost had a heart attack from trying to hold back my tears. This song doesn't usually make me so emotional but this evening it did. AND then he played one verse of What A Wonderful World. If I didn't have 15,000 people around me I would have been balling my eyes out. Then they went off and came back for the first encore which was amazing because they played Amsterdam. Then they came on for a SECOND encore which I don't think they always do. He said that this is the last time they'll be playing in Canada for a few years so they'll play longer this evening. After the first encore the boys were together hugging and that also brought tears to my eyes. I hope I'll be able to find a picture of that somewhere on the net. Then they came on for the second encore doing a cover of Echo and The Bunnymen's Lips Like Sugar. To be honest I'm not so familiar with this song to begin with but it was very good. And then they did Life is For Living which made me SO happy because at some of the recent shows they haven't been playing it. I'm very impressed if anyone's read all of this. I tried to call Vinita on her cell but it was off :( Here's the setlist 1. Politik 2. GPASUYF 3. Rush of Blood To The Head 4. Daylight 5. Trouble 6. One I Love 7. Don't Panic 8. Moses 9. Everything's Not Lost 10. Your World Turns Upside Down 11. Yellow 12. The Scientist / What A Wonderful World ------ 13. Clocks 14. In My Place 15. Amsterdam ------ 16. Lips Like Sugar 17. Life Is For Living
  5. They didn't play High Speed, I heard that they have said they will never play High Speed live again. If they would have played it I would have been hysterical crying. They played Moses at the show when on the radio they played High Speed. Moses is amazing live and MUCH better than the mp3 version I have on my computer. Vin I tried calling your cell but I think it was off or something
  6. I used to have the S Club 7 one but don't anymore
  7. Were you on the Floor? My friend is over 6'5" - 6'6" tall. ;) I've got lots of great pics on my camera, but can't be bothered to get them right now. I was possibly 8-10 metres from the stage, which is about 20-25 feet. There were possibly 8 people in front of me, and they were all preventing me from getting proper shots, so I gave it to my tall friend, and he got some sweet ass shots, I think. I'll post them later. PS: High Speed wasn't played, and neither was Shiver. But they played Life Is For Living during their 2nd encore ( :D ), which just made my year. PPS: Do you think there's any chance to download this concert on mp3? Just checking. :-o No I was sitting 17th row of the 200s but I could see really well expect for Mr.Tall Man

  14. They didn't play High Speed or Shiver  :-o What are you guys talking about??
  15. I'm sure Jess will tell all about it when she gets back but I heard from some people I met from the official board who saw Jess with Namagunyi and they were filming the whole thing with her!! So we'll be able to see our Jess on tv eating dinner with Coldplay!
  16. yeah, see the only good thing about winters here are the huge winter jackets which make it a lot easier to sneak in cameras. now that it's summer and no jackets mean there aren't as many places.
  17. some shows they make a big deal about cameras and some don't care at all. i think it depends on the artist
  18. I'm gonna try and sneak in my digi cam in my bra or something :D
  19. methinks regular cameras but no digital cameras, but i could be wrong
  20. sarah** replied to sarah**'s topic in The Lounge
I think the reason the board crashed the last time it did was because people never logged out and it screwed up the system or whatever.

Buying Canadian beer is cheaper, which means you can drink more of it :D
  22. Yeah it's in September, I'm not sure if I should buy tickets or not because I will be living in Hamilton then.
  23. Yeah at our school you go to commencement when you are leaving high school, I think some schools do it after Grade 12. But I've been out of school for so long it doesn't matter so much
