Now, I know there's the 'What was the last thing in your mouth?' thread, but that's mostly for short answers/smokes, and in a food thread, you can go into great detail about what the meal is, and even post recipes if you want to! And the best part of all is that we'll stop spamming this thread! :laugh3:

I'm sorry, I must sound like an ignorant American saying that, but it's an absolutely bizarre thought that something you've had your entire life, another person has never even had or heard of it before. :stunned: You can make fun of my close-minded ways, now. :P Or, better yet, tell me about a dish I may have never heard of before. Something that's a staple of your own childhood. That should be fun. :)

Oh, god, pasta and potatoes. The story of my childhood. :dead: Anyways, tonight we had beans and sausage, with cornbread on the side, (packaged and made by your's truly :rolleyes:) And it is, as always, fantastic. :D And, yeah, my Mom loves chocolate, too. Always keeps these dark chocolate bars on her bedside table, and just nibbles on them every now and then. If I had that much chocolate, though, it would be gone within a week. :laugh3: And, oh my god, Chinese food is the best! I especially love the fried rice with shrimp :dazzled: god I love it.

So, on a normal day, what do you eat? What is your version of a home-cooked meal? Sure, if you don't mind temperatures in the triple-digits during the Summer, yo-yo weather in the Fall, a ridiculous amount of mosquitoes, black ice during the Winter instead of snow, and the threat of tornadoes at any given time of the year. Oh, and don't forget 'bout them Cowboys. :P ('Cause they suck)

You'd think so, but it's a very popular Hispanic dessert. And, oh, when you go to the Latin markets and just see all the lovely pastries, and then across from those are the-cakes :wacky:- it almost makes it worth going shopping.
