  4. yeah that's what i need, some fellow musicians! (seems obvious but good ones are hard to find around here). this is probably the most inspiring thread ever lol. you guys have really given me some good help.
  5. yeah you're right, faith is all we got sometimes isn't it? i guess i just need that lucky break you know, like what u got with the music video and the outdoor festival and such. that's a great opportunity, u should really take advantage of that.
  6. i'm too lazy to even post right now
  7. man you know i agree with you 100% but let me ask you this: do you yourself live by this virtue? I mean, it sounds lovely and all but is it really possible?
  8. hm i actually could use a good read right now. just finished Eric Claptons autobiography which was excellent. and ur right icewolf, i would absolutely love to start a band, that would really make me happy. unfortunately my getting a job comes first :\
  9. wow that lucky bum! yeah i've been trying to find me a job but no-one is hiring! i hear it's because of the economy. i dunno, whatever it is i need to do something with my life!
  10. I don't know about you, but my life has become extremely boring. Its the same thing every day; my friends and nights are all the same. I need something exciting to happen to get me out of this hole. Does anyone else feel like they need to get out, explore, and just let loose? I know I do!
  11. yeah i'm not following sorry, though that is a brilliant movie!
  12. nytimes has got nothin better to write about i guess
  13. i hated panic, but their new album is quite interesting. it's still got that same emo sound, but songs like "she's a handsome woman" and "northern downpour" are brilliant, especially northern downpour: if the beatles wore guy liner, they would've written this song

  19. allo everyone. i don't think anyone knows me name but its jeff and i hope everyone's doing great on this fine evening. i'd also like to get to know u guys a bit more!
  20. Oh Coldplay. You have written some of the most beautiful songs in decades, your live show is beyond energetic, and you say your songs are meant to be sung to the rafters. I love this band, but to be completely honest (judging their twisted logic tour), going to your concerts aren't worth the money I'm paying. Hear me out here. My opinion is that if I'm paying 50+ dollars to see Coldplay perform, they should play for more than an hour and a half. I think it's very unfair to us, the fans. Guys like the Foo Fighters, U2, and even 65 year old Paul McCartney charge around the same prices for tickets, but the difference is they'll play for 2 and a half hours. Now THAT's a show! I would love for Coldplay to do that. You have four albums out now, why not play some obscure songs as well as the hits, and make the setlist a reasonable one huh? The economy sucks, gas prices are high, and I sure as hell am not paying a load of money to see Coldplay for only an hour and a half. I just think that's unfair, don't you?
  21. i actually don't mind them, they're fun to listen to... that's about it though
  22. yeah steve vai, joe s, and vh are all great technical players... but to me there's to much flash and not enough feeling in their solos. To me, guys like eric clapton, peter frampton, the allman brothers, david gilmour etc really pour their hearts out into their solos. That's what makes a good solo to me, it doesn't necessarily have to be fast, it just should have some feeling to it. Clapton, Frampton, Steve Hacket & Daryl Stuermer (of Genesis), and Mick Taylor are probably my fav guitarists of all time. check these out, Daryl Stuermer playing the solo to Firth of Fifth by Genesis... really powerful stuff (even check out Phil's drums) Clapton, John Lennon, Keith Richards, Mitch Mitchell singing "yer blues"... great clapton solo (and richards looks pretty badass i must say) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLaivdQl9n8 Listen to Mick Taylor's solo iin this live version of "Angie", it really adds emotion to the song. I have the mp3 if anybody wants it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWQBTgOMmIc
