Shall we get the ball rolling on LP8 discussions ;) ? No collabs unless the track listing looks like this: 1. Tomorrow- Coldplay & Phoenix 2. Car Kids- Coldplay ft HONNE These are two collabs I would do anything for. For anyone that doesn't know HONNE check them out.

Still holding out for "tomorrow" and "vampire symphony" LP8

So we have a 30 second snippet from a 2009 doco and we assume the whole song came from those sessions. While I kinda agree that it's most likely it's all from the MX/Viva era. We can only connect the parts where Eno sings in the doco to A L I E N S. The body of this song may have been made to suit the sounds Eno created back then but that doesn't necessarily mean the whole song is that old. I have hope that the first few mins and the strings at the end are new products of recent Coldplay studio sessions. Just my two cents.

With the release of A L I E N S this morning there are now quite a few songs Coldplay have released with that dark old school original vibe. I thought it would be cool to make some kind of concept album of songs which fit this brief of original, dark and old school coldplay vibes. Track listing is actually really fun, imagining what would open and close the album. 1. All I Can Think About is You 2. Ghost Story 3. Always In My Head 4. Midnight 5. Aliens 6. O 7. Atlas 8. Oceans 9. All Your Friends 10. Hypnotised 11. Moving To Mars (Hidden Track) What do you guys think? Imagine if these songs were released in an album in lets say 2011 or 2014, 2015 etc. Could this challenge their earlier albums?

Can we talk about a post recently posted in the Mystery soundcheck forum, the sheet found with guitar tunings for songs like Tomorrow & Vampire Symphony. Were these gonna make the EP or are they secretly on there? Why keep Tomorrow on the guitar sheet if you have no intentions of releasing. All credit to the original poster on the original forum. Just wanted to know what everyone thought. Ps Midnight release of A L I E N S ?

The more I listen the more I love. Solid mix between army of one and ink for me. Definitely similar to the live version of army of one. Man I hope they keep the outro they performed live. That last 30 secs is almost my fav part of the track.

At this stage im fairly sure the voice at 0:47 is Marty McFly from Back to the Future. Chris says at the beginning he features in it. I think its a vocal snap from one of the films but cant make out what it is.

Im that obsessed with Coldplay at this stage that if Chris sung in tune with a dishwasher and released it, id buy 10 copies. Dont really understand the hate with this song, the beat already feels nostalgic for me. We are all different, I understand Coldplay are different now. I listened to AROBTTH on vinyl this morning and then I still enjoy this new one. A L I E N S will be epic and the studio version of MSS will be great IMO. Wasn't a fan of Big Sean at the beginning but more and more it sounds a bit like Lupe Fiasco and feels nostalgic.

Its pretty similar to Ink IMO, but as much hate as I may receive theres something about Jonny's guitar that reminds me of 'Spanish Rain'

Thoroughly enjoying MSS (Miracles- Someone Special) but got this feeling A L I E N S is going to be the best on the EP.

Found an MP3 version on a site, trust me the full song is special and I reckon far superior. This will be the version with the music video.

I wrote this on reddit the other day: I could be wrong here, but I genuinely believe the EP was pushed back for two reasons: 1. Dua Lipa released her album on June 2. I somehow picture the boys agreeing to push the Kaleidoscope release back so Dua Lipa had less competition on release day, given Chris collaborated with her. A kind gesture perhaps. 2. Secondly I think maybe they are assessing their options with a dual release or extended EP with live in Tokyo tracks included. Just my two cents. That being said the release of this app and the fact that everything points to a release two weeks from this Friday/weekend makes me think an official statement may be coming thu/fri this week. I mean it makes sense to release details one or two weeks out from the release, unless their planning on dropping it with no lead up. That being said this app makes me think the live version of hypnotised is coming to their shows pretty soon/hence more ramp up of KEP marketing. All said and done, I actually love the tense feeling of waiting for new music. I think the fact that they changed the date and never listed a collab on the original track release just goes to show the EP was never final. Hoping for a few more songs <3
