I think the most exciting thing about a new era and new recording phase is what sounds the boys will mess around with. I'd love the guys to tease/share their ideas. A recording diary almost. The year off will only do wonders! Obviously AHFOD was very premeditated after the almost forced creation of Ghost Stories to help Chris express his life on the record. AHFOD was always the day of the night which was GS.! Not that they tied their own hands, but they had it all planned out. I think the best things will come now, no shackles, no emotional baggage it seems? Everyone hopefully refreshed. Will be interesting to see where this LP8 thread is in 18 months!

This week is 10 months since the Hiatus tweet! CMON Coldplay!! I dont mind no new music just would love to hear from the band.

I have this weird feeling about tonight/Friday! C'mon Coldplay! First week of September! Pure speculation. Debs initial release was this week! just feels like a good time. Most likely nothing will happen though ahh.

Reverb is a editorial company that helps festival goers for Rock in Rio. Not exactly an official media outlet for festival goers and organisers but still. They recently posted this image. Initial reactions are very excited etc, they did also post a message in the comments section which translated to: "People, people, people, let's calm down! This is just a joke, and Reverb is an editorial partnership between Webedia and Rock in Rio. We have no connection with the festival itself or with its artists. That aside, I'm as curious as you are about the 2019 line-up!" This post is less expecting anything, but more keeping tabs incase it happens. I truly believe a festival tour is possible next year. I want the boys to have the time off that they need, I dont expect new material at all. They are big enough that their catalogue can carry a festival headline slot and would love to see a less decorated more music orientated set.

I hate to be that person spreading false hope! But the rumour that Coldplay is playing Rock in Rio 2019 just went up a notch. The official rock in rio Instagram page is teasing Coldplay in their stories, sharing old videos of them performing there. Could be just a “do you remember when?” Kind of thing. Feels like more

South American journos getting in on the action now too. Imagine if it’s all true. Let’s be honest, it would almost have to be just a greatest hits festival tour, maybe a few new tunes or scaffolds of an album. Nothing like the 2011 festivals. Maybe album late ‘19 or early 2020.

Im obviously getting ahead of myself. But. An announcement must be heading our way soon. Maybe even the end of this week or beginning of next? 1. The countdown leading to an announcement seems way too much of an anti-climax. 2. Why would the countdown start (40) days out when you could just start a month prior? seems like hype building for a release date to be announced a month out. 3. Can someone explain the connection between 'Debs Wild' & Coldplay. On her first tweet another band commented on it, hinting that it was their music not Coldplay related. There has been so much speculation on Twitter and here recently and I miss the constant chatter and hype. I want to get a hype train going so we can push Coldplay into revealing anything, just need more hints haha!.

Assuming Dave Holmes posts a TBT to the Ghost Stories live DVD/tour tomorrow, we can guess maybe following the order AHFOD is next week. PS I think we are missing the point about the announcement not coming this week. We have a new studio release by Coldplay, even if it is only a cover. From the 1:30min preview I am in love with it!

Our sources and as they always do give us clues and as we compare them with others sources we concluded and based on the Info's/clues we have that something big are about to happen. Watch from 1:41:00 The studio release must be soon. There are certain changes to the performance. Firstly Chris' vocals are different and I love the way he sings "Dismissed kiss their kids off to war". Secondly there are new guitar licks throughout by Jonny. Thirdly during the second verse/chorus @ 1:43:10 there is a new backing vocal. Sounds like a woman pre-recorded. Also enjoy the HD, some champion filmed the entire thing.
