I don't know if you can officially call it a neighborhood but it's one of the most beautiful areas in Lisbon. That's why I would advise your friend to go to this FNAC in particular. And, by the way, there are a lot of cool shops there and Bairro Alto, the neighborhood with lots and lots of cool bars/pubs, is nearby. So definitely a must see in Lisbon.

^^Pois eu devo ter comprado uma ou duas vezes. É que, como nos filmes, gosto de ter a minha opinião e normalmente não tenho muito interesse em ler as dos críticos. :kiss: :) Yes, there are three FNAC stores in Lisbon. Since your friend is a tourist here i'll recommend that she goes to the one in Chiado. Search Google Maps for: ARMAZÉNS DO CHIADO, Rua do Carmo, Lisboa. FNAC is inside ARMAZÉNS DO CHIADO. I think it's her best shot at finding what she is looking for. If she wants some more alternative music stores there is one called Flur. Here is their website: http://www.flur.pt/FLUR/flur1.html I've actually never been there but have heard good things about it. I was trying to search a few more stores and came across this: http://geo.cm-lisboa.pt/fileadmin/GEO/Imagens/Fotos_Baixa_Chiado/PDF_Baixa_Chiado/Discotecas_Net_redi.pdf It's a list of music stores in downtown Lisbon. Don't know if it is updated. And since we both speak Portuguese no need to do a translation ;).

Olá Lívia :) I see your friend is coming to Lisbon too! As someone mentioned fnac is probably the best place here to buy singles. We don't have HMW though. I'm going to ask some friends and do a little research and if i find something i'll let you know. It's been awhile so don't know if you remember me but we talked a few times before.
