I don't know enough about Green Day to agree or disagree, but I imagine there are quite a few bands & artists where the fans think they're douchebags personally but fantastic musicians otherwise. :D

I never thought that Fran would put out a solo album, so I was pretty surprised when he announced it. I don't think it's selfish of him to do it, but I do miss the band as a whole and hope this really is just a hiatus and that they're back together with a new album by next year. :D As for Chris, he's been quoted so many times in interviews saying that he would never put out a solo album, so I at least have that to comfort me!

I thought the comments were pretty funny, actually. The Muse boys have such a good sense of humour; I feel like they'd get a kick out of the mocking comments too, LOL.

Based on that article, I'm sure he'd get a real kick out of us calling him a douchebag. He really does come across as a total douche in that interview though... In all seriousness, though, the reason I don't think about Gwyneth when I listen to Coldplay is because Chris doesn't rub his relationship with Gwyneth in everyone's face, and I don't know way too much information about their relationship that I can't help but wonder if any of the lyrics are about her. In contrast to John Mayer, the public can't help but be confronted with information about his relationships with Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston - so it's no wonder everyone wonders if this or that lyric is about whichever Hollywood bimbo he's dating. So I'm not sure if his point about "when you listen to Coldplay, do you think about Gwyneth Paltrow?" really has any applicability to his own music.

I thought that line was pretty funny too. :D But the rest of the interview contains way too much personal information. I prefer Chris's policy of not talking about Gwyneth in interviews. John Mayer needs to take a page from Mr. Martin. No one needs to know about how great Jessica Simpson is in bed and all that other stuff, although the interview as a whole is rather... "enlightening". ;)

Oops, I completely forgot about the CDs, lol. I have all the full-length albums of course, Brothers & Sisters EP, Prospekt's March EP, X&Y South East Asian Tour Edition CD, Live 2003 CD/DVD and all the singles from the AROBTTH era. I also have a bunch of posters and the 2004 and 2006 official calendars. I think that's it this time!

I was cleaning up my closet today and found some of my older Coldplay tour shirts that I hadn't seen/worn in a while. It got me curious about what Coldplay merchandise other people own! I have a silly tradition where I like to buy a shirt at every concert I go to (only for my favourite bands though, or else I'd have a lot of useless shirts :lol:), so I have 7 Coldplay shirts and 2 keychains, which is probably not a lot compared to some people, but Coldplay is by far the band that I have the most merch of. So I have... 2 shirts from the AROBTTH era: - 1 women's black t-shirt that has a part of the album cover on it - 1 long-sleeved black shirt that just says COLDPLAY on it. 4 shirts from the X&Y era: - 1 women's black t-shirt with the X&Y cover on it - 1 women's black t-shirt with COLDPLAY X&Y on the front, and then in smaller font "under the surface trying to break through / deciphering the codes in you" underneath, with the X&Y "logo" on one of the bottom corners - 1 women's navy blue baseball shirt with 3/4 length sleeves with COLDPLAY on the front with a silhouette of the band on it and TWISTED LOGIC TOUR 2005 on the back - 1 brown version of the above shirt except it says TWISTED LOGIC TOUR 2006 on the back instead 1 shirt from the VLV era: - 1 women's red t-shirt with Viva La Vida on it in white writing (I think it's this shirt: http://coldplay.shop.musictoday.com/Product.aspx?cp=14571_15048&pc=FXCTCOL43829) - This one is by far my favourite and I wear it often. 2 keychains: - 1 metal one that looks kind of like a bar of gold except it's a silver colour and it just says COLDPLAY on it - 1 thinner metal one that has COLDPLAY X&Y on it with the X&Y album logo in colour I'm curious to hear about the other interesting merch that you guys own. :)

Muse, again. I'm still going through Muse-concert-withdrawal.

Tell me about it! She has such a fantastic job - all her business trips are conferences in exotic locations, parties, festivals, etc. Now I'm imagining a business trip where she gets to see Muse... sigh.

My entertainment law professor (I'm in law school) just told us yesterday in class that she'll be missing next week's class because she'll be at SXSW next week (she's a leading entertainment lawyer so she's there for "business"). I would be incredibly jealous if I find out that she gets to see Muse while she's there!

Thanks for the info. I guess I'm pretty surprised that it wasn't more widely released since Natalie Imbruglia had that huge hit years ago, but then I looked it up and it looks like she released it on her own label, so that helps explain it a bit.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the show, MariePeter18! Agreed - Muse is such a great live band. I can't wait to see them again, although I imagine they won't be back in Canada for a bit. :( In the meantime I'm just going to keep watching HAARP!

I'd love to own a copy of the song but for some reason I can't find "Fun" on iTunes (Canada). Has Natalie's album not been released in Canada or something?
