I think it's a candidate for the Accademy Awards but I'm not sure. I don't think the other candidates (films) can't even compare to Babel. They have nothing to do!!

Did you know that the music from both of the movies is a masterpiece done by the same man, Gustavo Santaollala?

Brokeback's Mountain soundtrack was great - I downloaded most of its songs.

Babel's soundtrack is really good too - I specially remember a couple of songs:

 

- When Cate B. will be shot by one of the children, just the moments before of this. I remember that guitar sounds so... sad.

 

- When that japanese girl goes to the discoteque. That was very shocking. :stunned:

I bought the soundtrack.

 

& It's among my favourite albums EVER.

It has so many "atmosphere emphasize" kinda songs.

hate to intrude, :D but i couldn't help to see what you guys have been talking about!

 

@Iris - umm conserning BM, i'm so glad it didn't win best movie award last year, Crash so much deserved that award than BM, i'd like to add also that the fact Crash had won made me appreciat the Academy a lot more, coz after BM's release everyone was talking about it and didn't expcet that Crash will have any chance of winning at all, but it all truned for the best, imo! coz Crash is like a very important movie to be watched and it concerns the world we are living in, and the issue of racism, so the win made more people realise it and opened there eyes more for the issue. :)

 

@Miro - the noms haven't been released yet, but that will be in jan 23rd. oh can't wait, truely. also the GG ceremony is on tuesday! yay! :D
