i've done the fce exam...i strongly advise you to do a preparation course...it's not just about speaking and writing in English...is also about knowing how and what sort of things they want you to write!

well, not as tough as cae or cpe....i think it won't be tough for you, you know how to write in correct English (i see that in the forum, you don't make spelling mistakes that i notice, your verb tenses are correct and so on), so the thing you need to learn is to put difficult structures in the middle of your writing paper and see how the listening and speaking parts are done!

just to warn you: the subjects you have to write about on the writing paper are usually not interesting at all!!!!

What a shame that topics of the essay are boring as hell. Out of curiosity - what topic did you choose?

yeah it will help you i'm sure...more relative clauses, conditionals,...etc. phrasal verbs are too informal, you may use them in the listening part though or while you are speaking (in the speaking part of course)

i had to write about so many things...i remember in cpe i wrote about the stages of someone while growng up, like what you do as a child, then as a teen and then as an adult...you always have like 4 subjects to choose, there's also one option to write about a book (but most language schools don't study a book during the preparation, mine didn't)....the most boring one was about: what kind of toothpaste you use and why do you like it??? :laugh4: i hate it then but now i laugh everytime i remember! :lol:

notice that all the ppl that did it had done it with a bottle that has never been opened before- so maybe it has something to do with the pressure of the gas etc...

im sure that if i drink coke and then after i finish i take a menthos nothing will happen

i know all of that about pressure of the gas and about they get sued...i still don't want to try it on myself or do that experience at home (because everything would be a mess)
