i need to buy an acoustic guitar for this class at school i'm taking. i don't really want to go to guitar center, infact im NOT going there at all for anything. is there a place online that's not like musiciansfriend or whatever that anyone knows of? should i get one on ebay?

Yamaha acoustics are excellent for their price. They cost anywhere between about $250 and $600 brand new. Takamine are good as well, but they're a little more expensive (between around $400 and $900 brand new).

hmm well im looking at this fender acoustic (sorry i dont know model or anything) on ebay and it ends in a few hours so i'll prolly get that. he said he only used it for 2 guitar classes which he ended up canceling so it's not like it's been used very much. i'll prolly get it for 60 bucks :cool:

i have to get a yamaha at Costco tomorrow...

they like the idea of taking it back if it's broke :(
