I NEED HELP HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Featured Replies

ok, is anyone having a problem on there computer with pop-ups and not being able to set up a homepage? cause my internet is fucked up and it keeps lagging and i really need help on how to fix it.

basicly, the problem was that pop-ups kept on coming up and we I could not set a homepage, but now i can't check any of my e-mail, it takes about 5 minutes to boot into windows and worst of all, no spyware/adware destroyer is working (i was using spybot - search and destroy)

please can someone help me cause this is getting really annoying now

btw, when i load up IE, i do get a homepage, not the 1 I chose though, its something called home searh (i'll post a pic if i can get 1) and basicly in the bottom - left corner on the info bar, it say downloading picture from www.v61.com/cgi-bin/v2/counter/() and so im guessing thats the virus base right?

Dunno...perhaps back all your stuff up and re-install windows :idea2:

You thinks it's a virus? Have you got an anti-virus program?

i do, but it stopped working because of its license thing, im going out in a while and i'll get 1 then, but i dunno which to get

I've got Norton Anti-Virus and you get a years worth of free virus updates :idea2:

ok thanks

It must be a virus...and I'm not sure, but our comp was so wrecked that we formated it and then re-installed everything...fucking work, but may be the only thing that helps. I couldn't open many pages, also not the one where I can check my mails.

Yeah.. AVG is good.

Try downloading some spyware program too, like Ad-ware :)

also for all for adware problems mate, get spybot and ad-aware...they are two brilliant programs that will fix that baby right up for you!

its usually cool web search or something like that...i guarantee, if you download those programs, you'll have no problems

Yeah, sounds like virus...

actually, I think Norton is good enough for any present virus. The thing you need to update is the Virus Data which you can keep downloading online, or it is called Liveupdate in Norton. It is like once there are new virus invented, infected the computer, the Redman(opposite to Hecker) provided their Anti-virus program correspondently..so there is no One-time solution and you need to keep updated.

Then use the most updated dowloading date, check your hard disk, memory stuff....the virus should be discovered.

And, backup your important thing continuously in case your computed is infected and you lose data..

Good luck... :)

you mean, you used Norton, but it didn't find any virus?

could you reinstall IE though, or as you said, if you can, post a pic of the screen here...

I think you know how to do it....

seems like "Seriously Ill" by virus infection, your computer...
