The eyes of the war

Featured Replies

Bet most of you can recognise this picture, for some reason is very famous since its start on a National Geographic magazine. I'm not very informed about it but I know that's an Afghan girl whose face reveal us the consequences of war. Yes, Afghanistan and Pakistan are/were in war, the result? thousands and thousands of refugees. And she's one of them.

CHICA-NATIONAL2.gif Penetrating eyes, like the most beautiful ones I've seen ever. A beautiful young woman show us the suffering of her country in her face... but okay, does anyone here knows what's the stuff with this pic, that for some odd reason changed the world?

Yes, yes I saw it too!! they traveled to that area to find her, the found first a woman but she really wan't the one on the pic, her eyes were as black as oil. But later they found the real one, actually she's not that poor (comparating with the first woman) btw she expressed her dejection about her country situation, destroyed for the war.

What I don't really know is why her photo became that famous, is her beauty in her concerned face?

It's the awful truth dear.In some countries, people aren't that lucky actually.
