Shockwaves NME Awards host Simon Pegg claimed a prize of his own today (February 17– presented in bizarre fashion by pal Chris Martin.

 

Simon Pegg, co-star Nick Frost and director Edgar Wright were all present at Hammersmith Palais to see ’Shaun Of The Dead’ proclaimed Best Film.

 

And Chris Martin, who makes an appearance in the movie, took time out from recording the new Coldplay album to send a video message. Introduced as Sir Christopher Martin, he said he was a member of the group Band Aid before going on to congratulate his pals.

ah that's for the knowledge Ian! The hightlights of the NME awards are on tomorrow night at 11:35 on Channel 4 and have performances from The Bravery, The Others, Pete Doherty and Bloc Party...it probably will feature Chris then if he made a video message.

We'll yeah, but Coldplay is gonna spend lots of time there, whereas we, 'the Dutch', will probably have to do with one concert :cry:

I'm from the Uk but live in Canada so I won't see it either - unless some kind soul uploads the Chris Martin bit to the media forum ;-)

ha..that was quite a funny presentation. it was on about 1 minute in total..i'm recording the whole awards, it's possible i could put it to my computer and then give it to someone to upload somewhere...but i'll wait to see if it's downloadable anywhere else first. just out of pure laziness really :snore:

Very interesting Video message. Did u notice when he first came on he made out he was saying to someone off camera "Thats it now, the albums DONE!"

Please somebody post the Chris Martin video clip - it was so funny I almost laughed myself to death.
