Now that Coldplay will be back in the mainstream spotlight, do you think they will get compared more to Radiohead or U2? I think U2 because now they are bigger than Radiohead, and trying to eclipse U2.

Radiohead probably, although I don't see the comparison at all.

I think U2, since they've recently released an album also and Chris always talks about wanting to be like U2, only bigger!

Someone already made a post about this... but the way Coldplay progresses with their albums is comparable to Radiohead. Parachutes is like Pablo Honey, AROBTTH is like The Bends, and now x & Y will be a lot like OK Computer... the bands biggest and most experimental (judging from songs like sqaure one) album. Their music is probably a little more like U2 tho
