aww, im not trying to break anyone's hearts. I just want to show the similarity. :x

I thinks it's not similar at all :/

just a clip of SoS with Clocks fading in to show similarity between the two tracks :o

Only the strings are a bit similar, but the rest is totally different if you ask me :/

Yeah...I don't see any similarity besides the fact that they are both very piano driven. The chords are different.

Keep in mind that Clocks was actually ment for this album.

mmmhhhh....scary....

I never noticed the 2 songs are so similar!!!!

thanks for showing that

:stunned: :stunned: :stunned:

Luckily is just the string, the rest is totally different...

yeah, i thought it was pretty interesting.

the only similiarities between both songs is that the riff is played on the piano.

i hear

the things that are similar:

- piano driven

- chord progression (V - IV - IV - I)

things that aren't similar:

- everything else

i've never liked clocks and now i can't stand it - but... i love speed of sound.

says who??? Actually it was written rather fast towards the end of the making of AROBTTH and they decided to add it on, just like Scientist (if I'm not mistaken about that one.. ) but Clocks was indeed written for AROBTTH..

yah, this is actually the first thing that popped into my mind when i first heard speed of sound.

i like it though :) this song's supposed to be the bridge between the two albums...and i think it's amazing how they morphed the piano theme of clocks into a completely fresh and different song.

so I've heard this little comparison.. and I still have to disagree.... just beacuse the chords descend???? thats about the only comparison I hear... the sound is completely different... unitl I hear Chris or one of the boys say this was intentional, I wont buy it.. it still sounds nothing alike to me.. :smug:
