Simple question, do you think his lyrics make any sense or are they just nonsense?

They don't make sense... But they do speak to the heart :o

I think sometimes his lyrics are quite abstract, almost like abstract poems, but they do make sense if you think about them.

Yes. But you have to work at it and that's part of the fun! You won't always get what he's on about initially but it's like a puzzle. Once you have all the bits you can start to work out exactly what he's trying to say. Seeing as - esp lately - a lot of CP songs are about confusion and life, the lyrics are going to be random and well.... confusing! I suppose that's the message he's trying to convey. I am talking shit... *exits left* :D

Thom Yorke is on a whole other level with his lyrics.. lol but I love the randomness of Chris' words.. they do speak to the heart.. and they arent always so literal... they make you think for a second... and then just when you think you got it... it makes you think again... lol

its not that I dont understand his lyrics...I am a writer myself.. which is why I admire his style of writing... BUT, its his random words in places that you least expect... I undertsand his words.. just in some cases it doesnt seem to fit the song.. like I mentioned before.. just when you think you've figured out a song... its swtiches up on you.. lol which is why I love Chris' writing...

I agree. But yah, I don't spend very much time analyzing lyrics from songs, if I just like the feel of the song, that's enough for me.
