Which band sounds the most like coldplay to you?

b*ll shit

U2 used to be my favorite band, until Coldplay came!! Now, white shadows sounds very U2-ish... and when they appeared some magazines said that Coldplay was the light version of Radiohead... which I disagreed...

but the truth is that Chris' voice is unique and their music is too... so, I love them!

When A Rush of Blood to the Head came out, a lot of people criticized Coldplay for copying Radiohead. I was undecided at the time because I liked both bands. But once X&Y came out, I knew that Coldplay's music was completely different from Radiohead, which is a good thing because I thought Hail to the Thief was complete shit.

Oh and Keane does suck. Sorry to all their fans out there.

Coldplay dont sould like anyone else. They sound different tp other bands and thats why they are so good. They have their own style of doing things. Keane are great :)

well, i use to always bak at those 'this band sounds like coldplay' comparissons because they were always way off (i still don't believe keane sounds like coldplay...)

but thirteen senses' track 'into the fire' gave me goosebumps. i dunno why, but it really reminded me of coldplay parashutes era.

I don't think Coldplay sounds like Radiohead in the least bit. They're not trippy enough and their writing style actually make sense, ("So knives out/Catch the mouse/Don't look down/Shove it in your mouth?" WTF is that???) I like Radiohead, too but Coldplay is better, (as long as you're not tripping on acid.) I think a lot of people compare the two bands because of the fact they are British. In that case, Radiohead's like the Beatles? Eh, perhaps just empty thoughts, but it bugs me.

I don't think Coldplay sounds like Radiohead at all. Hail to the Thief was pretty good, especially Wolf at the Door.

DEFINATELY:) Love that cd of theres. VERY Parachutes. I just posted one of their b-sides that I love in the cool songs you should listen to thread in the multimedia section.

hail to the thief was complete shit? get your ears checked buddy

I think it was Rob Sheffield who quoted a few years back that Coldplay was only popular because Radiohead didn't have a single out. He's a great writer and a smart guy, but man was he wrong! Although I think that Chris really wants to be the next Bono, but who doesn't...

Back to topic, did someone say Snow Patrol already, I thought they were Coldplay when I first heard their single. Keane, ehh, a bit, I thought they were okay.

U2, Keane and ... Radiohead.

They're unique so no-one sounds like them. :D
