Erm, the only experience close to that I've had wasn't with Coldplay, but U2. And the Beatles.

 

I was in Barcelona (on a school trip last summer) and we stopped at this booth in Las Ramblas and this guy was selling a lot of old music memorabilia. It was really cool. Well I got a Beatles postcard, a Bono postcard and a U2 group postcard (which I had signed by Adam and Edge, BY THE WAY :lol: :P ). Anyways, I went up to the guy to pay and asked him how much in Spanish. He told me, took my postcards, looked them over, then said in very good english "U2... Beatles! My two favorite bands, look!" and low and behold, he was wearing a U2 pin and a Beatles pin. We had a little conversation and he gave one of the postcards to me for free.

 

I thought that was pretty cool :cool:

 

No one really acknowledges me for my Coldplay love, though. Except to make fun of me in school ( :rolleyes: ) when I wear my concert shirt. Once I did make a lady give me a Coldplay display poster for 10% off because the corner was ripped and it was the last one left. She didn't want to though, bitch! :lol:

Haha the CP poster I have in my bedroom is a hand-me-down. My sister bought it and had it in her room in her college frosh year, then she gave it to me and I've had it for about 2 years lol.

Aie that poster story reminds me of a very sad Target story. I went into Target one day to see if they had any posters for sale. I talked to a lady about it, and she said they didn't sell any posters.

 

"What about all the promo posters that are hung up all around the music section?" I was especially meaning this one:

Yeah, she's the one I went to the Shoreline with. If it weren't for my sister, I wouldn't have gone, because none of my friends like CP, and holy crap, I would never want to go with my mom.

 

Coldplay's sort of a family tradition, so to speak. My brother got it, passed it down to my sister, then to me. And my mom is a big fan of GP, so sometimes when it's late at night and it's just me, my sister, and my mom, we always end up talking about Coldplay. :smug: I remember knowing who GP was when I was like 5 years old. And see, Gwyneth isn't exactly a name you come across everyday, and so when I was younger I thought it was "Quinnith." *snort* It took me 5 years to realize it was Gwyneth with a G, not with a Q.

Haha, it's like that at my house too! :lol: Somehow the conversation always relates to anything Coldplay. Not that I mind. :mellow:

 

My bro only likes SoS because it reminds him of the funny dance I do when I hear it. Har har!

lol yeah, we always talk about Apple and Apple's future and Chris and Gwyneth's relationship... it's always the personal ones. :lol:
