January 7, 200620 yr Hi people, I was curious about the guitar Buckland plays during Daylight, on the Live 2003 DVD. I know he usually plays a Fender Thinline Telecaster, but this one is different.... It's like black and white... ,,,Kees
January 20, 200620 yr OK really silly question here but I have the Live 2003 Tab book and it still has 6 lines on the tab. Does it matter how many strings you have?
January 21, 200620 yr Most guitars are 6 string. Do you have a 5 string guitar? or are you missing a string or two? If you have a five string guitar...I'm not sure if its tuned differently. Someone else will have to answer that.
January 21, 200620 yr Yeah I have 6 string but I was going back to the 12 string point...if that is what is used why are there still 6 strings shown in the tab...just wondering...
January 22, 200620 yr A friend told me that on a 12-string-guitar each string pair usually has an octave difference (or was it a fifth? not sure)... however these intervals are pretty consonant, so you can press these string-pairs down as if it is a 6-string-guitar, it just sounds more resonant, I guess... I'm not quite sure, though, as I'm not the 12-string-guitar-expert ;-)
January 22, 200620 yr Yeah, they are octave's apart but the highest strings sometimes are tuned to the same pitch. You play pretty much the same as you normally would but if you try to play one as a beginner I guess it might take a while to get you hand muscles working - just as the necks are wider - mostly taking about 12-String accoustics there
January 23, 200620 yr I still have a hard time with a 6 string...i don't wanna go anywhere near a 12 string.
January 26, 200620 yr Its a rickenbacker 12 string. Cool beans.............I have a rickenbacker-eldarado 250 6 string. Been having it for 10 years now and it's still one of my favorite guitars. Not really one of the better quality made rickenbackers on the market but I like it.
