was at my friend's house earlier today and on his computer he had this totally different version of talk? couple different guitar lines and totally different lyrics?

i kinda liked it actually :)

but does anybody know what it is? was there two different versions released in different parts of the world or something?

yeah.... there were quite a few versions of talk actually. only a few have been released.

 

and I think two of 'em made it to the internet--the final one on the album and another one that's the one you've probably heard.

One version was leaked, that's the one with the different lyrics that you've heard. ('Under the great north star...' etc). I really love that version.
