I've been debating this with my film major homies and I have question..... why is Crash nominated for Best Picture?

because it's probably one of the best movies ever made.

It's not only about racism, but about people, about relationships (or the lack of them), about the mudane life in cities... etc... the interpretations are awesome. Everything is good about it :)
