the best compliment you've ever gotten

Featured Replies

Hehe.......I knew there was athread about compliments....and what I wrote above some months ago is still true....

today for example.....we were waiting for our teacher in PE lesson.... was sitting next to my best friend.....I said "Oh I think I going to make my hair into a ponytale so it's better for sports"....so I did that....and my friend was looking at me....and suddely she said" Oh my God....you are so so pretty...man you are so pretty!"....I only was like "Oh you think so?" and she said "yes"....and that's all....the last months she said that so often to me....and actually I always waited for these moments that someone will say something like this to me one day....because I always felt bad in my own body...

yes and all I can say it.....those things changed my life and my attitude....and I love it......

so people.......if you think your frineds are pretty...just tell them from time to time...they'll be happy..;)

'Elsje, you're very wise for your age.. '

The guys that are in the most pain are usually the ones with the biggest hearts

Very random but I know what you mean, I really think I do.

I've heard a lot of compliments about my eyes... which is really weird because they are not that special...

Yes, same here!

Tiina, where are you? :\

I was also told I was really cute by someone I really liked, and I've been told many, many times that I'm very mature and intelligent for my age. If these things were really true I should have many, many things I want and be really really happy, but it's not really like that.

That I'm smart, pretty, and a good singer. Oh and that I dress well too!

"You have a beautiful handwriting"

:disappointed:

^^I get that too, even though I have sloppy handwriting! :P

My handwriting is...nasty.

But as you may have noticed, a lot of people like my eyes. Ha, I had half a color guard staring at me once...it was sorta cool.

To me people usually say: "Wow you've got a beautiful handwriting for someone who is a leftie!":laugh4:

Haha yeah for some reason many people think that lefties can't have a nice handwriting :mean:

Anyway, my handwriting is awful. Maybe people just say that because they can't find any other beautiful things about me? :disappointed:

Don't be too pessimistic....:nice:

Don't be too pessimistic....:nice:

Haha I'll try :shy: It's hard though 'cause the world is so cruel and all...

my boyfriend has told me: "thanks for existing" several times, and I know he was honest when he said such thing.

Once I went out with my friends, we had supper with them and afterwards we went to a pub. The waiter told me: "you have such a beautiful face"... in front of all of them.

oh, yeah, indeed! :nice:

I realized I forgot another one that told me my physics teacher once:

"you'll reach everything you want to"

I know I was her favourite pupil - dunno why, though, 'cos I have never been good at physics and she had better students than me in her classroom - Anyway, I've been thinking about her words these last years, specially when I'm low and they made me feel happy, the fact of knowing that someone trusted so much in my skills.

who said these things to you?

Friends, but they are probably just being polite...:\

oh, I'm sure they told you that in all sincerity! I don't think even friends have to tell you compliments just for making you feel good... but 'cos they honestly think about it.

Lefties rulee

Well , once this guy told me that it was an easy person to feel in love with :laugh4:

the best compliment I've ever gotten was from a friend of mine...

I didn't expect it at all...

he was like "You and Cedric (another friend of mine...) are real friends. I mean, it's more than friendship... We're like brothers. Y'know, I'd do anything to help you. It's something I wouldn't do for other friends..."

Several ppl said me this (especilally from here...): "I like/love your poems"

but the first one touched me so much more than the second one, cos I like hearing this, but I dislike saying "I write beautiful poems and bla bla... " sounds too conceited, definately.
