Where is the line drawn between...

Featured Replies

a joke and reality... I think I joke too much and I am afraid one day I may be in a situation where we act like it's just a joke but it really could be a serious thing.

The point is that when you joke you should realize that it's a joke, it's not serious. When you lose this line between joke and reality, you'll become just one silly person.

I think that it depends on what the joke is about. Personally, I believe that a lot of jokes that have to do with racism are rooted in fear and hate. They're just passive aggressive ways of showing that, with the excuse being it's a "joke". Same goes for Holocaust jokes... Those just aren't funny, they're way too close to reality.

So yeah, it depends on the subject, to me.

well, what I mean is... you play truth or dare with a friend and you pretend to enjoy kissing them, when is it no longer a joke and you really do want to kiss them? or... when you're joking about having sex, when does it stop being a joke and become reality?

hahaha well you have crossed the line on a number of times eric :laugh1:
